Flightmanager
OFFICIAL RULES FOR FLATHEAD SOCIAL SUNDAY 3RD DECEMBER 2006 Owing to the large number of boats that will be present , I have expanded our fishing area to include the Georges River and Cooks River , and all tributaries. You can put your boat into the water at any ramp you want to , this will help avoid congestion at any one Ramp , remember , that we will also be sharing resources with the general public !! The Social part of this event will be held at Cook Park Sans Souci . Fishing will officially start at Daybreak , and finish NO LATER THAN 1200 (12:00PM). Now , here is the important bit: To be eligible for any of the prizes for this event you must register before you commence fishing. This is for legal reasons , and there will be no exceptions. I would suggest that you get to your desired ramp early , then head for the social site , we will have it staffed from daybreak to end of fishing so that you will be able to register . We will try to have some bacon and eggs going for your arrival , hot coffee and tea as well. Any legal species of Flathead is eligible for a prize , but remember that only 1 fish over 70cm may be kept. Only registered members of Fishraider are eligible for the ROD & REEL supplied by Tony and Rohit The organisers decision as to the winning entry is final , and no correspondance will be entered into. Guests who sign on must be with a Fishraider member ,no blow ins. They will be eligible for a minor prize with their biggest FLATHEAD. In the event that we have 2 identically sized fish , the two anglers names will be entered into a hat , and the winner drawn by myself. Ladies who catch the biggest fish overall ,member or members guest will be in the running for the Live Bait Bucket from Wattos To be eligible for the ladies prize , a lady must catch the longest of any species . The Sea Tow 1 Year Membership prize will be a raffle for Fishraider Skippers who have their boats present on the day Modern Fishing will be donating some nice prizes as well . There will be several other prizes awarded on the day , so everyone will be in with a chance , men , ladies and kids !! If for some reason the weather becomes unfishable , or the waters dangerous the event will be postponed to a later date. This is purely a safety precaution , as many boats will have children aboard. All boats must conform to Maritime Regulations , particularly safety vests for each person on board , a bucket , oars ( if only running one motor) , waterproof torch etc. All communications shall be over Channel 96 , should the need arise for ship to ship communication. If you all could bring your own paper plates , and cups , that would lighten the burden on the organisers , and would be greatly appreciated. Most of all , bring along your sense of fun!! Be competetive by all means , but remember that this is a social day , not a fishing comp as such. Looking forward to seeing you all there , CLICK HERE TO INDICATE YOUR ATTENDANCE AND/ OR POST ANY COMMENTS Ross Edited November 29, 2006 by Flightmanager
