Shanemills Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Went out to browns yesterday. Started out a beautiful morning calm seas and hardly any wind. Pulled up on the mountain first drop drifting at about 7 knots nothing. After repositioning dropped a couple more times for 0 zilch. Water was 18.9 deg there was about 12 boats out there by 10:30. The wind started to pick up so we decided to go for a troll after about an hour the wind started to die again so we went back to browns for a couple more drops. First drop second time around after about 20 min felt a good bite. There was some weight in this one. It took about 30 min on the alvey reef king to bring the beast up. It went 109cm and 25kg biggest one I've got. All in all it was a tough day out not many caught from reports on the radio but it was all worth wile when the beast surfaced.
