Good day Raiders, it was great to meet Mr & Mrs Swordfisherman & Coolamon
on Saturday at Wattos, and i would like to say thank you to them for taking the time
to drop off a hat for me (which survived the 25knot winds on a charter boat Sunday)
NOW thats a hat.
Ps If we ever have a Sweep social dont even turn up ive got it in the bag.
Cheers

My mum has a saying that i think sums up this great site,
if you have not got anything nice to say
you dont have to say anything at all.
Cheers

Good day everybody, when opening up the site this morning
it asked me to log in, something ive never had to do before,
has anything changed this end?
or is it my computer settings?
Just curious

I'd like a trucker cap with a Fishraider patch on it.... printed Trucker caps look nasty...
also, i'd like a cancer council style giant straw style hat with a fishraider patch on the front.....or just a patch to put on my existing biggun'
I have to agree with Sammy, the big straw hat with a Fishraider Logo
or a patch to sew on to my existing hat (my Scottish skin needs all the protection it can get)

Good day Raiders, headed up to Hawks Nest of Friday
with the boys from RootyHill RSL Fishing Club to do
some bottom bashing on the Sat and Sun, well she blew
and blew and blew, no fishing was done, but did get to
experience the effects of Plum Brandy and Grappa,
Sheeez you have to pace yourself on that stuff.
ps What a top spot Hawks Nest is (never been there before)
Regards

Two out of two Ben your on a roll mate, (any good with Lotto numbers)
the rod, reel and line has not changed,
and yes he does treat the diesel a bit like gold,
but on the up side your right he is a top bloke
and he has shown me a secret or two that have made
a big difference to the way i bottom bash.

Well done Heath.

The Rod is a Penn Powerstick 850SS
dont know where i got the 805s powerspin from.

Good day Ben, you picked it in one one mate,
ive been going out with Ron for about 2 years now,
we also go out with Paul (the boat next to Dougo's)
once a month with the RSL, we headed up to Towradgi
on our previous trip and got a good feed of Flatties,
i think with the weather on Sunday the boats where hesitent
to head North, the gear i use is a Penn 805S Powerspin rod
& Penn 9500SS reel loaded with Berkley 15kg Fireline,
I trolled a Rapala shallow diver for a while with no luck,
the bait was salted mullet, salted mackeral, squid & prawn.
I usually fish a 2 to 3 hook pateroster rig if the boat is full
but if we dont have a full crew and current is good i use a
single hook on a 2 mtr trace you tend not to catch as much
as the other guys using the paternoster set up, but if the reds
are about i find this set up more succesfull.
ps had the Groper last nite YUM YUM YUM

Good day Shaun and Claudia, thank you for your time and patience
on Saturday, both rod and reel combo's went down a treat,
both father and son were stoked with there new gear,
one small prob though (not really), the father had to have a go of his sons new rod
and reel as you would, and was so impressed with it he is going to contact you for the same
combo for himself, he also would like to thank you personally for having the time
to put the braided line on at such short notice and the more than generous discount
that was given.
Thanks again mate.

Good day Raiders, went down to the Gong yesterday
with the local hotel fishing club, headed out on the charter boat
about 6.00am, water was a weird looking colour, popped a lure
out the back but no surface action to be had on the way out.
We went down South towards the three islands with the idea
of trying to stay out of the wind and current which was playing havoc
with the other charter boats that went out wider, anyway no matter where we went
SWEEP SWEEP and more SWEEP, my only saving grace was a 2.5Kg Red Groper
and the biggest Poor Mans Lobster ive ever seen, anyway not much of a report
but there you have it anyway, on a by note have never seen so many young
Mutton birds on the water, it was like something out of a Alfred Hitchcock movie.

im heading up there on Friday with the Boys from the
RootyHill RSL Fishing Club for a couple of days fishing

Good day Raiders, im heading up to Port Stevens on the Friday the 20th
with the RSL fishing club to do a couple of days of bottom bashing,
we normally fish down at Woollongong, so i was wondering is the fishing
much different up there. (ie type of fish caught)
any input would be appreciated.
ps Everbody have a top weekend.

Good day Reeltired, top report mate, i cant help but get
the feeling that the snap lock swivell may not have been locked,
open (with no damage) hard to do underwater, but maybe not impossible
as those Kingies are pretty cluey.
