  1. G'day guys,

Just wondering if anyone can give me some insite as to weather lowrance with be at the Sydney boat show and if they will have any sales going.

I'm currently looking at getting a lowrance elite 7ti from bcf since they are on sale for $1229. Is bcf the best price around Sydney for lowrance at the moment?

  2. Hi

Buying the Stacer new with a 40hp Evinrude E/Tech power trim and tilt motor, tiller steer, electric start. Just wondering if anyone has one and whether you can comfortably steer it from the pedestal seat floor position and the other position where the post is welded, do you need to cut one of the seats down.

    Thanks

  3. Thankyou Huey, sorry I didnt get back to you, I have been working nightshift. My impatient dad bought the Surteee 5.5 Centre Console with a 4 stroke 90 hp Mercury. Anyway I am sure he will get some good fishing out of it.

    Thanks again

  4. Hi My Dad is looking at a Surtees Centre Console 5.5mtr or the superceeded Stabicraft 1750 Centre Console, just wondering which boat is more stable at rest, it will be used for inside fishing, the occasional fishing outside here and there. The Surtees looks like it has more room. Which one do you think is the better buy.

    Thanks

  8. yeh i agree might be a tad large might be good for trapping larger fish like whiting but not sure if thats legal

havnt trapped poddys since i was a kid but i always just used a 2ltr coke bottle using the same method you have above

now you got me worried framedtrash :(

all i know is that i have to drill a hell of alot holes in it.

  10. I just picked up a bait trap at a dept. store for $12. I think I was suppose to shopping for 'Back to School' stuff but took a little turn and ended up at the other end of the store. Oops. :1prop:

Scooping them up might be a bit hard. They're quick little buggers. Or you can make one out of a two litre drink bottle.

    ok thanks

  11. Years and years ago I caught an 8lb one on a diving minnow type lure at Wyangla dam. Can't remember what type of lure it was, but it was caught trolling about. So it can be done.

thats pretty interestin now i am more determined than ever

  12. in my experience they'll take a gulp minnow heck they eat anything but im not sure they will go for a diving lure

if you do manage it you could have the record for carp on lure on fishraider

    thanks for the reply

i think i will try a bass lure and see what happens

  13. hi fishraiders

this might sound like a stupid question but i have been fishin for carp and i have noticed that some carp are slaming the float instead of the bread.

the question is will a carp take a lure.

    thanks driftwood :fishing1:
