Hey little G,
Nice couple a kingies. From the looks of the photo, you got them just upstream of the mouth of he George's river ?
Bait or soft plastics ?
How big were they ?
Fresh kingie is one of my favourite fish - but must be fresh for me - I can't eat them frozen whereas other fish I can eat them frozen.
Well, I don't mean I eat them when they are a frozen block of ice, I mean I don't like eating them after they are frozen, thawed then cooked.....
As for the occie - it's the stuff of dreams for us Greeks....
Well done mate....
Tony
haha hey tony,

The Penn Applause 2000 reel is more than suitable for bream fishing. They are retailing around $80 at the moment, which is very good value for money. They are a little heavier than other equivalent sized reels. Robust, and with a very smooth drag, I don't think you will be disappointed. I have three of these reels that are 5 years old, and with light general maintenance I have had no trouble with any of them. They have accounted for some terrific fish. Ask slinkymalinky about the componentry of these little reels and he will give you some surprising information
Cheers
Hodgey
thanks everyone 4 the quick replys.
ill have to have a closer look into the applause.
another quick question does the applause hold braid well? and is it suitible for soft plastic fishing?
thanks little G
