got out there tonight about 9.30 after half an hour we were getting some bites drifting over the reef.after 3 huge powerfull runs on seperate rods which all ended up with snapped lines on the reef, was using 20 pound but it was no mach for the mysterious fish,i managed a good snapper then headed into the bay for some smaller fish, after a couple of hours inside packed it up and came home with a small snapper feed.had some fun it was beutifull and flat outside.

you can still have a larger motor with no lincence, you just cant go over 10 knots.
-
fibreglass only because its a softer ride and less noisy.

I am looking to upgrad my sounder to a GPS/sounder combo. I mainly fish the Harbour/Botany Bay/Pittwater. The 3 I am deciding on are:
- Lowrance HDS5
- Humminbird 788
- Garmin GPSMAP 551
Does anyone have any advice on which one is preferable and if there are any special deals going at the moment with any supplier?
id personaly go with the lowrance due to my experience with them, there is a company i know called whitworths at drumoyne and other locations which you could find on the net, their number is 98196211.

I`m going to try and revamp my half cabin Mustang. I bought it cheap and thought i`ve got a big task on my hands. I pulled everything off it, called a few boys around pulled it off the trailer turned it upside down and slipped it into the garage on some old tyres. Grinded the patch work off that the previous owner done and seen 3 big holes, then grinded the gelcoat back to give me a starting point to fill the holes then fiberglass the centre to strengthen then gelcoat over the top.Thats my plan.I have some modefiying to do inside when i get it right way up as well.Ill send updated pictures as i get through this ( i think job is the right word) or NIGHTMARE.

looking good, keep going youll be proud this summer when your on the water.

The statistics say it....
1 cast 1 fish = happy man!
Im working 2 hours from home every day at the moment so its safe to say time is not on my side for my fishing but i got home last night and decided to go have a flick for an hour. Headed down to a nice spot of mine near Kiama harbour armed with my new outfit i was in the mood for a Jew or a big salmon as they have been around. I could hear some pelagics smashing the surface about 20m to my left so i tied up a 5'" nuke chicken jerkshad and punched it out in that direction as far as i could. Letting the lure sink for 5 seconds or so i decided to fiddle with the drag just in case a big Jew or Sambo latched quickly.
Tap tap tap, i thought it was tailor having a few stabs while it was sinking so i lifted slightly coming tight to a fish, it didnt feel very big. Ten seconds later it decided to do a missive run, i thought it was a Jew for sure, after a tit for tat battle and a few sweaty moments in the dark on the rocks the beast showed its face! All 48cm's of it!
Not a monster but one beastly breambo! Any bream that makes me think its a Jew i call a beast!
Cheers
Cam
