are you using a good quality 'outboard' oil and not just two stroke oil.....generally people disconnect oil pumps cause they are not providing enough oil  not too much...also check that your plugs are the correct ones and the right heat range...I had an 85 v4 johno and it only ran properly with plugs that had a round central electrode not the normal bent over electrode...rick

thanks rick ill check to see what was installed by the service guy

    cheers mate

  7. hi raiders took an old work mate out in the bay on wednesday we hit the ramp about 10am went straight out to the oil warf at kurnell not to sure what the spot is called but we were near the poles that come out of the water near the warf any way after a couples of hours there with not much more the half a dozen under sized snapper.

we headed then towards molli we were where the big white boys are not much there either just a under size bream and more small pinkies.

decided to try the 3rd runway after a hour or so i had a massive hit the drag screamed what ever it was it was huge after a nice heavy fight i see it its a dam port jackson shark but its a monster it was well over the meter mark it was the size of my 3 yr old. sorry about the pic didnt have a brag matt grrr.my mate put his foot in the poto just to get a size of it his foot is about a 10 half size lol after that we headed back to the ramp.

  8. hey raiders hit the bay on friday about 10.00am with the mrs and 2 kids after a bit of trouble with the starter motor at the ramp we were finaly on our way.We stopped roughly around ramsgate burley up with fish bits and bread.

baited the rods with pilchards peeled prawn and squid.Sat there for about 40 mins then bang a small nibble and then nothing for another 15 mins bang the pilchard rod goes off.Too heavy and strong for the 3 yr old son to pull in so big brother which is 8 yrs old takes over. After a great fight he manages to bring it up he yells shark yep and with that the 3yr old screams and jumps in to mums arms screaming. Its more of a ray yep a shovel nose shark a decent size aswell.sitting the for a while nother not even a nibble.

moved to variouse places captain cook bridge nothing not even a bite.third runway then, nothing again not even a nibble just a whole load of weed.wind started to pick up about 200 decided to give up and head back to the ramp empty handed.lucky we did after watching tinny1 vids very scary.

  11. Sorry eniax, been busy (hence posting at 12.30am). If you still need it, I'll have another look and see if there is anything relevant that is clear. From what I read when I had a look there isn't much written detail on where, but there are a few pics that might give some idea.

hi thanks heaps pics would be great thanks for going to all this trouble

    cheers joe

  12. It seems there are several different control boxes, what sort is yours? Single lever, 2 lever or the third which I think has a button of some sort too......

I'll scan a few pages for you.

just a stock standard single lever cheers
