  1. Hi Guys,

I am trying to organise a fishing charter for this Monday 15/04/2013. We will be going 6 to 12 nautical miles off Botany Bay chasing Big kings 8kg + Plus, using Livies.

Its $1000 and the boat fits 6 people.

All top quality bait and tackle is supplied.

At the moment we have 2 people keen we need another 2 to 4 guys who are interested in going.

If we have 4 people on board the cost will be $250 each

If we get 6 People on board it will $170 each.

Please sms or call me on 0410 111 244 if your interested.

    Cheers,

    John

  2. Mate After reading this post! I am worked up and ready to GO catch some kingies! As a matter of fact seen this post today and we are going to Sydney tomorrow morning thats how keen I am.

Wish me luck! Please santa before you head back to the North Pole please put a 100 cm kingy on the end of my rod please!!

I have only caught rat kingies so it would be nice to actually take one home for once :-)

  3. Hi Fellow Raiders,

A mate and I are heading up to Swansea this Sunday with the boat. We don't know much about the area but if anyone can help us out for some good snapper spots that would be appreciated.

Actually any good spots for any species would be good....

    Thanks for the heads up...

    Cheers,

    John

Thailand is fished out i wouldnt recommend going on a charter there. I just got back from there recently i never went on a charter but i asked around and people told me it was fished out. There is however a cat fish farm where you can fish for Araipama and catfish they have some huge fish there! I forgot whats its called but if you google something should come up.

  7. I was also thinking of heading out this sunday to Kembla, Not to sure tho .. If the swells good i'll see you out there mate, We were just thinking of trolling for kings and mac's then using the macs for bait for bottom bashing snapper and flatties :1fishing1:

Hey mate did you end up going?? We did and swell was pretty bad everyone got sick and we got caught nothing but leather jackets!!

  8. Hi Fellow Raider,

I'm heading out to Port Kembla on the boat this Sunday. We're not really familiar with the area only been there a couple of times.. If anyone has any advise or know any good spots let us know...

    Cheers,

  9. Hi Raiders,

Just wondering if anyone has any info on fishing down at windang, gear, bait, rigs, fish species, particular area etc.

I was thinking of going down but some info first would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Raiders and tight lines :biggrin2:

Hey mate been there before pretty good for salmon and bonito. Best thing to do is take a beach rod and rig it up with a float coz its pretty rocky there! I usually just put on a whole pilly on a gang hook and get good results when the salmon and bonito are coming through..... Try fishing sunrise and sunset usually the best time to go....

  10. Got the gear ready! Went out to Botany we got there at about 630pm the conditions seemed perfect. Wind was minimal water was calm and the moon was setting in at 8pm with high tide midnightish. Thought to my self this is it GREAT .... Going to land our first Jewie tonight!

Anyway went out on the hunt for some Yakkas, burleyed up with some bread got the rig setup nothing biting.... Tried to go squidding but not sure of the best spots to go, ending up giving up on the yakkas and squid went and tried fishing near the tank. nothing much happening there as well..... there were a few boats around not catching anything as well.... By this time it was about 10ish decided to head over near bear island..... had a whole pilly on a ganga casted out sat down eating my sandwich then BANG.... Zzzzzzz..........rod bending reeled in a nice 60cm Tailor.... That woke us up a bit ... Tailor was on the bite last night ended up landing 4 keepers and 1 Red Rock Cod (poor Mans Lobster) Decent size....

Overall was a good nyt out expected it to be much better going by the weather conditions.

  11. Hi Guys,

I am in need of some help! Me and my mate have been trying to catch a kingfish or Jewie for the last 2 years with no luck! We dont have a boat and have been to numerous places around Sydney with no luck! We usually go and catch yellowtail for live bait then go to a spot which we have heard good things about for catching kingies and Jewies. Some of the places we have been to are Greenwich, Clifton Gardens, Spit Bridge, Milsons Point, and pier 2 just to name a few. We have had many all nighters with no luck! Any help or advise would be appreciated. If anyone is heading out over the weekend and would like some company let us know...

    Cheers,

    John
