Had a good day out on Avoca Lake today, about a dozen bream, only two worth keeping but plenty of activity about. Did pull in an unusual catch though. A fish I've never seen before. Photo to follow shortly but wondering if anyone could tell me what the hungry little thing was. Thanks!

Another Landbased attempt at a BIG JEW with nothing to show for it except a yakka chomped in half literally 1 millimeter away from the HOOK!!!!

Very possible to be a big tailor. I was fishing the roseville bridge (late arvo) and it was basically a big hit then a small run (4-5s) then nothing. Brought him back in and it was in half. Wasn't completely a "clean cut" but still, it had to be part of the fang gang... Is it possible to get a hairtail in summer in middle harbour in water around 7-9m deep?
