I have been out with people worming but yet to have a proper crack myself, but well done that sounds impressive for the first attempt.

Its a beautiful part of the world up there.   If you go to Smith Lake it love to hear about the water level especially at the ramp near frothy coffee for reference.   Did you get to Bluey’s pizza?

lowest i have ever seen it been going up there for about 45 years, you can walk from the caravan park to frothy coffee and hardly get wet still fish in the lake

  7. cracker bream mate!

The hawkesbury sure has some monsters! Got my PB 44cm bream there earlier in the year and it was very very fat weighing spot on 2kg. Took a strip of mullet up at milson island. I'd love to connect with a 45+ on 4lb some time. Would be a cracker of a fight!

    COTM for sure

    Cheers, Tom

hi tom the bigger bream really fight hard this one was caught on 8 ib .about 20 years ago i caught a biger one on a strip of marinated yellow tail behind danger isl on a hand line nearly cut me hands tying to stop him

  8. Mate that is an absolute monster bream! I'm sitting at my desk with a ruler imagining the size of that thing. A few reports at the moment saying bream are big, but not 'plump'.....quite skinny. Was this the case or was it in good condition?

hi josamill ya he was in ok condition he tipped the scales at 1.6 kg

  9. hi guys caught this bream yesterday at the hawkesbury also 7 others between 27 cm 35 cm also plenty of sopies most around 40 cm fished around both bridges with fresh prawns and bottle squid.burled with wheat bread and vitabix most fish caught low tide and run in .great day on the water just about had the whole river to myself cheers peterpost-15757-086315100 1349988710_thumb.jpg

  10. Taking a mate from work out on Friday, perhaps around Flint & Steel and Lion Island.

Just checking to see how people have been doing around that area, what should we be targeting and which baits are working?

fished yesterday mate 4 bream and usual reef fish at flint and steel 1,5 hours into the run out tide then moved around Brooklyn drifting for around 8 Flathead .get there very early as you can they went of the bite around 11.30 was a bit of a pain with that green weed that wraps around your line and bait .also had the crab traps out for a big fat zero weed in traps as well.yes those trawlers were there as usual they always work the area from the mouth of cowan up towards flint and steel i think the reason the work that area is because it is a clean sandy bottom so drift were the trawlers don't work good luck dont forget to burley

  11. some good advice there jez was out there last weekend. heaps of flaties drifting using whole prawns or half pilies.just drift anywere near the green chanel markers near juno point going down towards danger isl north side does not mater what tide or time of day.also as mike said take your crabs with you i caught 8 of them. good luck peter
