Anyone?
-
G'day fellas,
I am about to remove my front thwart, from my Allycraft Sioux (4.45). Its a strong solid and heavy boat with fairly thick ali.
Now, when I remove it,how will I need to brace it, to compensate for the missing seat? That is, if I really need too.
I dont do choppy or offshore, purely a river estuary and smooth water fisherman. AND not very often!!
What -if any-bracing do you reckon I may need?
I am putting in a larger floor over the top of the old floor, and havent figured out how I am going to secure it yet. When i do, I'll put flotaion of some sort under/between it.
Thanks,
Mark

G;day,
Anyone know which wires to wire the kill switch into? I have an electric start with a key, but no kill switch.
Thanks fellas,

Any suggestions on a supple mono line for trolling?
30 40 lb . just a brand name would be good. We have no tackle shops here, so cant ask !
Thanks,

Thanks Stewy,
The reason I want mono instead of braid, is mainly for the stretch when trolling. The reefs are only 2-5 metres at most around here, so dont have to worry about stretch when bait fishing.
My main question really concerns looking for a line that doesnt want to spring off into bird nests when dropping or with a little cast.
Thanks mate,

G'day,
I would like some advice on which line to get for my 20 class overhead. Its for trolling mostly and a little drop and wait baiting.
Somewhere around 15 to 20 kg and mono.
I have mono on it at the moment but its too thick (maybe 50lb?) and too springy!!
I guess I need a supple style of line?
What do you fellas recommend?
thanks,
Mark

Go for it!!
You should see the fellas here on T.I . 4mt boats with 40's and 4.5s with 60s!! If a boat could wheelstand, they would.
The front comes down only when the prop loses traction. Young fellas of course:)
Insurance FWAAWW!!
( I have a 40 on my 4.45. It does 23 Knots Flat out:) )

Remove thwart, what about bracing?

Thanks CC,
Yeah, going to an open deck and a larger floor. I'n not allowed a bigger boat, so I have to make mine bigger:)
The seat has a rib each side of the seat. It also has a couple of triangular pieces of ali welded where the seat is, that will stay, when the seat goes.
