HI Fishlessmick
the road to the car park is willow vale road. if you drive the road between wallerawang and portland you will find it .it is opposite the cemetry. the walk from the car park to the dam is about 1km .
if you need any more help let me know.

Thanks Jim, mate that will do me, i thought 7 klm's sounded a little exaggerated . once again thanks for the help.

Hi all, would someone be able to tell me which road the car park to the dam is on, and how long the walk down to the dam is? Ive read everything from 1klm-15min to the ridiculously long 7klm-1hr. Any info would be appreciated.

My ex father inlaw had photos and told me stories of things like jacks, giant herring, Gt's , big eyes, and such comming out of various "goons" in the greater sydney area. As long as they have some fresh sea water flowing into them every now and then you just never know.

Try this Goon Jacks But from memory with the big fish kill and word getting about about the jacks ,they took a beating . But that is not the only place you could encounter jacks in sydney and surrounding areas, but finding out where they are is another thing

Went down to the lake for a quick sesh to see if the blackies have started their run yet, and with a good fish first drift for Tony "ratking" things were looking good. Famous last words not a single down for the next 2 hours, so we try some shrimp and nothing until Tony gets a screeeemer of a down and lands a 450mm Ep with which we left on a high note.

it's a lure fishing game fishing from shore and boat, fish i've caught so far are pike, salmon, perch and trout.
the game file is only 214meg and i've run it on win98se and xp machines.
you can fish tournaments, social or adventure . great graphics and sound, hearing the drag screaming is very realistic when a 30lb pike monsters yur lure
and like real life ive had a few fishless trips, its not just a cast and catch type game you need to look at structure and lure selection to hook up.
Mate can you post a link or, give some details off how to download-it sounds good for passing the time at work
cheers

You got 18 answers right.
You got 2 answers wrong.
You're a little ripper!
You have a near perfect grasp of the colourful gab and can probably make yourself understood in most social occasions, such as Gazza's weekly Barbie... but I bet you can't throw a boomerang!

I came across a few pro's working the Tuggerah Lakes on the morning of January 3.
There were 3 of them, each using an 18ft tinny to deploy a single net. The net was already in place when I got there (about 7am) and they were still buggerising with it when I left about 9am so I didn't get to see how they pulled it in or what they got etc.
What concerned me though is the size of their bloody net. Conservatively I would estimate it to cover about 3 acres in a single go. It was amazingly huge and I was stunned. No wonder there is not many fish left up there either. ;(
Does anyone know where the rules are for these pro fishers?
I am a regular Hawkesbury bait soaker and I have definately noticed a severe lack of good fish there in the last several months.
To hear the pro's worked the area and now to have seen what "worked" really means in terms of coverage I can easily understand the likely impact on the local fish stocks.
G'day go-fish, i live on Tuggerah lakes and get sick of seeing this. The pro's dont give a sh1t and when they bring their net in the amount of byecatch that gets thrown back is BS.

I might go have a crack at this place, I only live 5 minutes away in Kariong.
What I woulkd like to know is is it STRICTLY catch and release as I would like to take a murray cod home for one of my tanks
I have also heard there is a dam up sumersby way that is FULL of cod, bass and barra and its a legall fishing site, Can anybody verify this?
Cheers
Adam
G'day guys, The dam at MPG is now closed to the public, there was a statement in the local paper a few weeks ago.
Hi Adam "teflon" ive been on the coast all my life and have not heard of a dam at somersby that holds Bass, Cod and Barra and ive sniffed around most dams, lagoons, creeks, rivers and potholes on the coast.
But ! if you know where it is and would like to hook up for a fish send me a pm.
Mabye you are thinking about the dam on the old sydney town site, which holds silvers, golderns bass and cod, but its not legal that i know off.
ALLEN hope everything is all ok with the fires down your way.
cheers

The Strudwick company has been trying to sell the business for a while now, I think they must have sold if all the stores are trying to offload the stock.
?????????????????????????????????????????
not sure where that news came from Swoff but the company hasn't sold or swapped hands in any way. There are new ranges of rods and pricings soon to be released in the STRUDWICK range..... Being sponsored by Strudwick and keeping in direct contact on an almost daily basis i can confidently say that all is well and the new range of spin as well as other rods are awesome and in high demand. I don't want to go into this too far as I have been asked by moderators not to plug any of my sponsors so I will leave i at that.
Mitch
P.S. Not having a go, just clearing the air
With Strudwick being only 5min up the road from me i started to use their rods, But after a poor customer service experiance with a faulty rod and the fact their web site hasn't changed in 18 months even after being told 6 months ago it was being updated soon, still nothings changed.
dosn't seem a good way to gain new customers
just my opinion.
cheers
