The southern end of the lake, (chain valley bay) can be quite productive , bream to large flatheads and even the odd jewfish..check with the locals.
Good luck.

We ventured out to the Sydney North FAD yesterday..8 dollies in about 2 hrs. Largest was 90cm, caught using weighted live bait. Water temp was 24C.

LB spots to try:
Chain Valley Bay South
- Northern end of the boat ramp.. cast into channel
- Karigon creek ( right of the CVB boat ramp) , there a few jetties..cast on the sand flats.
Use fresh mullet..at dawn or dusk and you might find some large flatties..
Good Luck

We ventured out to the BB FAD on Sunday, same thing, they took every yakka we threw at them, the action suddenly stopped by 9.30. approx 2.5 hrs round trip for 30mins of intense dollie action.

Hi Bardup,
I have the same rig and have fitted Trim Tabs ,plus I have 20 ltr deckwash water tank, mounted opposite side to the bait tank. This allows much better balance and control. PM me if you want more data.
Cheers.

I have used "knead it steel" to fix a small hole in my tinny. I think Bias boating may sell it.

We finally built up the courage to go wide last Sunday.. There was virtually no swell at Lion Island so we pointed the bow east and made it to the Broken Bay Wide FADS .. We dropped a few pillies down near the fad and after about 10 mins all four lines went off and Mahi Mahi Madness had set in..
Attached is the best of the catch, we went home with 8 keepers.. They tasted great on the BBQ, and yes we plan to go back..

Leds are fine in most cases, but watch out for some vehicles that have a bulb test program built into the cars system. eg BMW X5.
The Leds will flash faintly when the trailer is plugged in, which is a problem at night, and we ended up always unplugging the trailer before backing down the ramp.
Anyway 9 months later the wiring failed, we went back to sealed bulb lights.
Next time they fail, it will be back to a light board..

Well Done.
We were out at Valiant Reef on Sat, no Kings, but Leatherjackets seemed to be everywhere. Very difficult to get the baits down whilst there around.

I have fitted the Solas (12ft) ones to my 540F, (same as pic. on Haines Site).
The Solas kit comes with everything you need. Easy to fit and use. etc

G'day Raiders
We visited East Reef early and drifted back into BB.
By 9.30 am (launched in the dark) we had boated:-
1 X small Dolphin Fish -using large bait jigs. (a First)
3 X Kings ( 1 Keeper) - using Squid
1 X School Jew. - on Squid.
Had to leave the action due to crew getting sick.
Anyhow, BB could be firing up later this year..
Cheers.

I have the same motor, and was advised "Stick with the QuickSilver as per the manual" or risk damage and loosing your warranty, as I am told the mechanics can tell if your using cheap oil.

Yes, the Sydney Kings are on!
Note:
Remember to bring your fishing license and follow the rules on Kingy size and bag limits, as the boys from Fisheries were out there yesterday doing the rounds in Middle Harbour.
Cheers..
