  1. I tend to use Dolans bay ramp, you need to be early though to get a parking spot, just means you miss that slow speed area around Lilli Pilli baths.

good luck! let us know how you go as I'm heading out monday and yet to decide on Hacking or the bay.

  2. I'm packed ready for some livies in the bay and then troll up to maroubra way for a poke around, if swell permits maybe a troll a little wider. My see you out there tef1on? Im hitting water at 6am or thereabouts and straight to livie spot from Kyeemagh.

  3. No luck guys,

trolled around Jibbon for a while, sent down some nice squid baits. I couldn't even mark fish.

headed back inside to a spot I know and got a couple of 2 bream, 2 groper and a trevally.

Trip was a success because my mate from bali caught the most fish including a hard fighting trevally on bream gear.

  4. Theres kingies south of the hacking, rats mostly (55-60cm) but they have been taking pilchard floaters in a burley trail (targeting snapper), we had a great session last Sunday with consistent double hookups on light gear lasting throughout the morning tide change.

How far south you talking? Might head there on Saturday morning!

  5. Hi all,

I have a mate over from Bali, he leaves next tuesday and I'm hitting the water with him on saturday, want to put him onto some decent fish if possible, maybe some rats if we are lucky.

anyone got any ideas on where I should head? I'm in St George area, was thinking of trying Jibbon or maybe even head off malabar.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated as would love for him to have a few good pics and stories for when he goes back home.

    cheers,

  6. Hi All,

I have recently purchased a Stacer 455 Sea Horse that has a Honda 4 stroke 50HP on it. Boat and engine are immaculate and have taken it for a few runs already and has no issues hitting 28 knots, I got the engine serviced including impeller replaced recently. I was told the prop bush appears to be worn as you can see some melted rubber in behind the nut.

Issue I have is I cannot find any markings or numbers on the prop, I do not know what pitch it is, guessing I can measure the size easy enough. I'm really happy with the performance of the prop so would like to replace it with same.

is there a way for me to work out the pitch?

I have attached an image below, not that I expect someone to tell me by looking at an image. Can someone point me in some direction?

  7. Hi All,

I need some help or advice...

I currently have 8lb Super PE on my 3000 stradic CI4, I use this for tossing plastics and all round estuary fishing. Have used it for light snapper outfit as well. Lately I have noticed that more often the braid is wrapping guides or bird nests. I have read reports that this is a common issue with the lighter Super PE braids.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the same braid? I have Fireline on all of my other lights outfits and do not get this problem, I guess it is that little bit stiffer!

So can anyone recommend a new braid for me? I have heard about nanofil but have no experience with it.

I want to put 8 or 10lb back on it and I'm open to your opinions.

    thanks in advance.
