  1. One of my favourite places to fish. So easy to get bait. Best bet is to target the islands I find. There are some really good reefs out there loaded with Kings. Just follow the floatilla of boats.

But I would put livies down around Cabbage Tree and Broughton.

Make sure you check the zones, its a nightmare navigating around there.

  2. Hi guys any advice would be appreciated on this.

I've got a Daiwa Freams 4000. 4 weeks old. Been used about 6 times. Anyway used it yesterday, no problems at all. Washed it after use. Anyway picked it up today and it seems a little stiff when winding it. However when I put it into reverse it was completely smooth, the way it should be.

I haven't taken it apart (not going to), but took the spool out. Everything looked fine. Well greased and dry.

    Any ideas?

Silstar Slapstix, 6" Get them in Crystal, White and Pink. 10 Lures Per Pack

Then get some Gamakatsu Size 4/0 Worm Hooks.

Since October I have caught over 150 fish on these lures.

Let me know if you want more help

  4. Thinking of doing a fly swap if anybody is keen. Open for ideas on what to tie, but I was thinking nymphs / dries that work (or that you think will work) in the local trout waters (local being TCD, Cox's and Fish Rivers etc).

I'll either tie up a Christmas nymph or a lyre bird tail emerger depending on what people want.

Royce I'm looking for a contribution from you mate!

    So . . . who wants in?

    You need to contact 'Royts'.

But pretty sure he is only tying saltwater flies at the moment.

  5. For those intending to use Drummoyne Boat Ramp this weekend be aware.

It is total crap but the ramp is being used to film a movie this week and about 75% of the trailer parking spots are taken by the film crew.

Therefore there wont be many spots available for trailers.

On top of that a friend who works at canada bay council, (can't name names) told me rangers will be in force in the drummoyne area this weekend.

This is total crap and as a rate payer I am not happy.

    Be careful everyone.
