If you want to catch kings in pittwater you need to ditch the yakkas and just use live squid
You don't even need squid. Just need EP Flex Calamari Flies. These are killing it at the moment.

One of my favourite places to fish. So easy to get bait. Best bet is to target the islands I find. There are some really good reefs out there loaded with Kings. Just follow the floatilla of boats.
But I would put livies down around Cabbage Tree and Broughton.
Make sure you check the zones, its a nightmare navigating around there.

Why don't you look at getting a Trophy Boat.
If I was you, I'd be getting a boat from the US right now.

I wonder if getting it serviced will Void the warranty?

I wasnt fishing, but there was stuff busting up of Palm Beach and Whale Beach. Not too far away from the Dolphins

Hi guys any advice would be appreciated on this.
I've got a Daiwa Freams 4000. 4 weeks old. Been used about 6 times. Anyway used it yesterday, no problems at all. Washed it after use. Anyway picked it up today and it seems a little stiff when winding it. However when I put it into reverse it was completely smooth, the way it should be.
I haven't taken it apart (not going to), but took the spool out. Everything looked fine. Well greased and dry.
Any ideas?

3 Tonnes more like 224 tonnes

This is bs. It's an absolute travesty that they can harvest such a great sportsfish for the sake of a cat's dinner.
Well in this case, just bait

I too am looking at a Jigging Rod.
My choice is either a Samaki Offshore Pro Jigging. Approx $200
or Daiwa Demon Blood Jig Spin Approx $300

Yeah I reckon this is a great idea.

Thinking of doing a fly swap if anybody is keen. Open for ideas on what to tie, but I was thinking nymphs / dries that work (or that you think will work) in the local trout waters (local being TCD, Cox's and Fish Rivers etc).
I'll either tie up a Christmas nymph or a lyre bird tail emerger depending on what people want.
Royce I'm looking for a contribution from you mate!
So . . . who wants in?
You need to contact 'Royts'.
But pretty sure he is only tying saltwater flies at the moment.

There are a few older posts on here you could search through.
I know there are a few tracks you can hike into. Best bet is to use an inflatable to fish.
Lower reaches fish pretty well too.

You can't fish underneath the Bridge. Don't even try.
Water Police will be there within 2 min of you stopping to target them.
-
It's probably the 10th time I have seen it in the past month.
Or the fact that there is a massive school of Kings and Salmon that feed underneath the Harbour Bridge everyday
-
In New Zealand they specifically target Lobster on Soft Plastics

I did an article on this exact thing on my blog.

I heard a report today that a 12kg Kingy was taken off the New Reef.
Got it on Live Slimey.

For those intending to use Drummoyne Boat Ramp this weekend be aware.
It is total crap but the ramp is being used to film a movie this week and about 75% of the trailer parking spots are taken by the film crew.
Therefore there wont be many spots available for trailers.
On top of that a friend who works at canada bay council, (can't name names) told me rangers will be in force in the drummoyne area this weekend.
This is total crap and as a rate payer I am not happy.
Be careful everyone.
