  1. Thanks for the advise guys

I was thinking the 80.. but was not sure... Like everything to do with boats it always comes with a decent price tag.. But I think it will be well worth the investment! Be good to try something different.

Huey thank you I will keep that in mind... Firstly I have to get it to the shop and modify the bow rail to make some room for it.

Is it simple to remove with the quick release bracket so i can still fish outside??

Hi, I agree with the guys and the 55Lb will not be enough. We have fitted a fair few 80Lb Terrovas and they are very good and the I-Pilot is awesome. Water testing one latetr today. As Geoff pointed out, the M/K, deluxe quick release bracket, two deep cycle batteries, power boxes (the best way to fit M/Ks) and the wiring will not be cheap, but as with anything in life you get what you pay for and there is a right way to do anything and then usually the cheaper wrong way.

We will look at you if you buy here so contact me and I can give you the Raider price on all the above.

    Cheers,

    Huey.

  2. Thanks Guys

Have heard good things about the shoalhaven but have never had a chance to fish down there.

I use to fish the hacking a fair bit.. have found it to be pretty tough going to get a few fish... Never managed anything of decent size in there... Burraneer bay was alwasy the most productive though... Lures hey that sounds interesting

I have recently decided that i want to try something different... have not got an electric yet but am looking at getting one in the next month or so. Just have to iron out a few problems like re- designing the bow rail.. but by the sounds like it may be a very worthwhile investment. everone that has one seems to love using it!!

    Hmmmm....

  3. have been thinking about this for a while and have read a few forums about guys trolling livies from a yak for jewies... I am a little over fishing outside all the time and have decided to install an electric on my boat and start spend a bit more time in the river... To get to the point i was wondering if anyone has had experience using an electric motor to slow troll lives for jewing... Either at night or through the day. also do you think a downrigegr would increase my chances??

  4. Hey Guys

I have a formosa 480 CC and have recently found out i can not anchor at my favourite jewie spot... Have decided that i am going to install a minn kota ST with I pilot... Just a few questions...

with regards to the shaft length... how much do i need to allow for the prop to penetrate the water??

Secondly from your experience is it worth going for the 80 pound thrust??

  5. Hey

I have recently purchased the Stradic 5000 and love it!! I spooled it with about 200 metres of 20 Pound fire line... Mainly flicking plastics for snapper.. Well try!! I think 15 - 20 would be about the max i would fish on it!

  6. Hey Raiders

New here and thought i would ask if anyone has had much experience with snappaer snatcher style rigs??

Have never tried them before... Took my Partner fishing for the first time yesterday, Weather was amazing!! Decied that we would fish in close off scarborough...water was alive with bait but could not get through the barracutta... Thought we would give the snapper snatcher a go... She ended up boating 5 reds between 1 and 2.5 kgs... Best thing was the circle hooks meant she had no need to strike simply start winding and they were hooked!! Little disapointed really i tried all my usual techniques and could not get through the Cutta and salmon. Out fished on my own boat :(

Ended up being a great day on the water... Would reccomend these rigs to anyone!! Money well spent.
