  1. It was hooked on the neck and bleeding pretty bad, after a long fight..It doesn't look like it will live. So we kept it and fed about 7 families.

    Will try to release the next one.

    Congrats Tony, it's not illegal to take a marlin home especially your first one. You're not out there every day. I'll be doing the same if I have that chance. So well done!!

  2. Hi Yowie;

    Talking about consistencies: breams, Taylors, whitings, jewfish, flounders, trevally, kingfish snappers. You must know the Hecking very well. Well done and thanks for consistantly posting the reports up.?

  3. Hi Groper;

    What can I say? What an experience you guys had! While you and Cris were fishing, I was slavering away at work. Did you know how jealous I was while on the phone to Cris and at the back ground I could hear your ratchet going. I knew I should have been sick that day.

    Anyway, congrats on the catch to you both and thanks for a good feed of kingfish as Cris gave me one of his.

    I have a feeling I'll be sick sometimes next week.

  4. Nice setup. Reel envy :) The Mako must give it s good test. Can you cast plastics well with the 6-8 tcurve? Thinking of getting one for casting plastics for snapper but not sure which rating.

    Hey buddy, can't complain with the Tcurve as it does everything I wanted to do.

    Happy fishing!

  5. well done boys for heading out in those conditions the squid cetanly are worth it more than the snapper, I will get some of that paint of you for the squid jigs chris :)

    And meng at least you can go to work without the withdrawal symptoms for another week :P

    Haha

    Shame you couldnt join us. As withdrawal symptoms, I don't have a problem with because I'm a fisholic.

  6. Thanks Chris.

    That 3-6 rating of rod is not too light to pull in big red with a hump on it's head? :biggrin2:

    The new white Shimano rod is called Terez actually.

    Yes, it's is the Terez 10-20lb match with pfluger patriarch 935xt and a second set up is a shimano tcurve revolution inshore 6-8 kg match with a Stella 5000, may be its too big for the rod. But it could never be too big as last year, I hooked on to a 1.2m mako shark and the gear took it very well.

    Thanks meng
