  1. What are you looking to target? No lures are general purpose, most have particular fish they are designed to catch. If you tell us what kind of fish you are targeting and what kind/size of lures you have we can give you some better advice.

this is what I have been using. the smaller 4" gulps I use a 1/8 jig head and a 1/2 or a 5/8 for the bigger ones! I usually try fish for bream with the hard bodies and flathead with the soft plastics. Attempted to fish kingies at little manly gas works but no luck.

    Thanks!

  2. Due to a spillage of bait in my car I have forced myself to start lure fishing. I have acquired a large array of lures including surface, diving, blades and softbody (GULP), all of which were chosen by the blokes at bcf. I have tried all sorts of retrieval methods. Don't even get me started on squid jigs. I have tried many locations including clontarf beach, apple tree bay, bobbin head and little manly point which have all been suggested to me. I have fished each of these locations from about 6:00 am to 12:00 and I have never caught a single fish. Am I missing something? this is not a rant at all, I just really need some help!

I do have a boat but fishing is usually land based so locations, lure, methods and any other tips would be much appreciated!

  3. I'm located in turramurra and usualy fish around the Hawkesbury and Cowan creek and I NEED HELP. Me and my dad go fishing all the time and never catch anything worthwhile. I'm 15 and I want to land my first big jewie. If anyone could give me advice such as locations, tackle, baits, set ups and techniques it would be hugely helpful. My little brother who always comes with us hates swell so places like lion island are a no go.

    Cheers

  4. I'm new to fishraider and was wondering if anyone could tell me some good spots around Cowan creek or on the lower Hawksbury. The family doesn't do to well with swell so places like lion island aren't a good idea. Inland waters are best. Looking to catch jewies, large bream, flaties, kingsfish and pretty much anything else of a decent size. Also things like tackle suggestions would be great. (I'm 15, so bare with me)

    cheers
