Hey don unlucky with the fish not sticking. How far off is the Kink from the banks?
-
Well done Luke! Great work champ

The 30 would be a bit big for those species I think a 20 or 25 is plenty and the live fibre rod I can vouch for
-
I had to get them cause I'd be the bloke that misses out on the big one while everyone else hooks up. LolHahaha nah nah mr.e.d Im with ya on that one
ordered some just thought I'd drop that comment
Lol yeah you can't be that person, hopefully they're as thick as last year and you'll get em on broom sticks!

Hi All,
Been doing a bit of LBG fishing recently, using a 8000 stradic and a 13ft Tcurve, but would like to take it further and get an overhead setup. Are the TLD 30 ( or similar) suitable for this or are they a boat reel? There is also a 2 speed, is this good on the rocks or again only for boats. Ill prob match up to a wilson live fibre, but would like opinions on reels...
Thanks in advance....
Mate it all depends on what you're targeting, live baiting for kings the tld20
Is perfect I think

Any promotional code for shipping lol

Agree with Matt there's better places to target em it's very upsetting getting done by an anchored boat.

The troll cam footage is crazyyy!!! Need to invest in one of those.
Which SST charts do you use?

Damn that's the exact opposite report of what I was hoping to see =| gonna be down there from Saturday for a week with the family hopefully I can get some action
-
Yeah I've got a couple of marks off fish raider for the bay there gonna be inside mainly, any tips mate?
I heard the beaks have made their way down there
-
Its at Murrays Beach at the end of Jervis Bay Rd in the National Park which entry costs 11 dollars for 48 hrs from time of purchase. There is no pontoon to get on and off as it collapsed a while ago and has not been replaced and there is no beach to pull up on, its all rocks.
Cheers
Yeahh mate that's the one oh really :/ that's a Shame he also told me its a top spot for squid.
Thanks a lot anyway mate

g'day guys
I'm gonna be heading down to JB for a week with the family for Christmas taking the boat down with me =D
Just wondering if there's any good boat ramps around there I know there's one at culburra but I was told about one near Bowen island I forgot where the guy told me just wondering if anyone's knows which one I'm talking about.

Hahaha I couldn't stop laughing when you were handling the first fish slippery bast@rd hahahaha
Well done mate good to see you having fun!

Great report mate, the boys must of had a blast! The kings there aren't shy and it gets tricky with shallow waters they go straight for the reef when you give em stick.
Trevs are good enough to eat mate like DTF said just bleed em straight away. I just fillet em and deep fry them throw some chopped up garlic.

Ive never come across any tiagras with braid.. If you're using it for trolling I'd put 24kg mono on it

Hi Su,
A while ago I fitted one to a Bertram 25 and I used a piece of marine ply about 8mm thick and then a piece of marine grade aluminium sheet and secured everything through the two sheets. Probably overkill but it worked great--never moved!
cheers
thanks a lot bookwa I went and got some marine grade plywood and sealed it with lacquer gonna install it on Monday for next weekend can't wait!!

G'day guys I have finally received my Scotty downrigger mount and in the installation Manual it says to add a wooden plate under the gunnel to distribute the weight.
Just wondering if anyone has added the wood under the gunnel and how thick should the wood be?
Cheers
