I will be celebrating CNY on the weekend. Going fishing and crabbing this Saturday to get something yummy to add to the feast. If I get nothing decent, it will have to be a trip to the market to get some.
Fish and prawns are auspicious foods.

Right handed. Better casting (better distance for surf, better accuracy for lures) with right hand. Left hand for winding.

Now, I wish I was out fishing rather than being stuck in the office.

They are great eating when steamed whole, garnished with slivers of ginger and spring onions, topped with soy sauce

Good one. With my daughter nearly at dating age, it will come in useful at some stage.

A good read. Nice fish.

I agree with previous posters about having lights on and also boaties who speed. This is not just on the Georges river or Botany Bay. There are many boaties in the Hawkesbury river systems who always seem to be in a great hurry, even when there are signs to indicate no wash zones or 4kts areas. Some people simply cannot be relied upon to follow simple rules or guidelines.
The authorities must enforce the rules. Be on the waterways on weekends (not just on weekdays), issue some fines and send the message there are rules on the water as there are on land.
It will make the waterways safer for the rest of us.

Mrs limbo would be interested. She's been practising answering the quiz on the nsw maritime site. The 14 year old will also take it up.

Have been a lurker on this site since the beginning of this year, joined up in May, so I thought it's about time I said Hello to Everyone
Have learnt a lot from the articles and forum posts. Will be fishing whenever I can get some free time, on weekends.
Other stuff about me - Live in Glenwood, Sydney, have a young family, and a Haines Signature 520C.
Hope to be spending some time fishing the Hawkesbury, and looking forward to meeting up with some of you in the future.
