  1. Sponsored a fishing Comp from W/Gong, and after being Postponed a month earlier, due to bad weather, went out and caught my first Barracuda, approx. 65cm long, along with snapper and red morwong.

All up, averaged about 1/2 dozen keepers each, with some using there Own Burley methods, over the side.

    Fantastic day had by ALL

  2. Initially from ChCh, fantastic Salmon fishing in the waimakariri river, (mouth), brother lives in Stoke, Nelson, just down the rd from you and there are some fantastic spots along the coast and further Nth from where you are living, but in the warmer seasons. Good Fishing !

  3. Looking for a Tutor to show me What I am doing wrong, when I go fishing. Due to my work, I have Mondays off, and live in Ingleburn, willing to pick you up and take you land based fishing, for pointers, as getting frustrated

  4. I have a car, based in Ingleburn and would be willing to take someone, Wombala (Bulli way), Port Hacking, Sydney Harbour, Botany Bay etc, if willing to show me some good spots. However just getting into fishing and have a thing about touching fish. Yep that includes removing hooks, getting there slowly though, and fish ID (?), have to use the Maritime ID booklet. Don't eat them,(catch some for my Wife),

  5. Took my Son fishing with me Yesterday, and went to Pt Kembla Break Wall. Not much happening, other than a 30cm Leather Jacket, that we returned. Then off to Womballa, Rock Fishing, and finally Stanwell Beach.

I have to agree with you All, there is Nothing happening at the moment, anywhere, unless one of you can tell me where. Would be appreciated

  6. Hi all, looking at heading down to PtKembla (Nth Breakwall) to try my luck, last 3 times, coame out with Big Fat Donuts, from Wombarra and Syd Harbour. any other ideas where they could be biting. Not tarketing anything in particular ?

  7. Hi Brett, plenty of seals in Botany Bay, and even have a resident Seal that hangs around Kogarah Bay, sunning him/her self on the back boards of some of the larger boats moored off Botany Bay Yacht Club.

Ever since they stopped Commercial trawling in the Bay, the wild life have started to return

  8. Hi Gazza, we are the fixed keelers sailing out in the middle of the Bay, (3 -7) crew.

I've only dropped the line 2-3 times, as mainly go down to Wombarra Rock Pool, so don't have a boat to fish from, as mainly land based.

  9. HAve been out a few times now in the Bay, on a Sat whilst Yacht racing with Botany Bay Yacht Club, (on the Shark Cat as Race Officer) and have dangled the line quite a few times now, as new to this, and for the life of me NOTHING. Mate of mine comes with me, and we try chicken, prawn, squid, lures, SP's. Where have all the fish gone. Or more importantly, WHAT am I doing wrong :15:

  10. Last few times that I've been to Wombarra Rock Fishing, have always had hits.

Went again on Mon and landed a 48cm Salmon, (approx 2kg), along with some Bream, mostly just undersize. Tried in Georges River and Botany Bay, (All Shore Fishing) and some bites but nothing to talk about.

  11. last nights episode down at the harbour only resulted in heaps of prawns and chicken being pinched, by what I think would be crabs, however found a perfectly good live catch net, and had a nice night out with my LOVELY Wife, chatting away, which is something we haven't had time for with Business and interuptions.

What a great way to spend Valentines Day, Partner, Fishing, Harbour Views
