  1. Mate wouldnt look past Blue Pacific Marine at Dural just behind the Caltex on Old Northern Road opposite Liquorland, very genuine, fixed pricing and never has any ''well this needed replacing'' Ive used him since he bought the place, I had a problem with starting the motor when it was cold so I took it down to him and he dropped everything to help me out and best of all didnt charge me, surprise surprise,

but definatly give him a go.

    cheers,

    mark

  2. If you are onn the central coast try trhe bloke on showground road. Don't hold your breathwith any of those guys though. They always reckon they are really busy. to prevent further occurances make sure you dont drop any lead sinkers or brass swivels in the bottom of your boat that get lodged in the ribbing. Major cause of pin holes.

Spraycraft fabrication at Beamont road Mt Kuringai, they fixed two hair line cracks in the back of my tinny and put two 6mm alloy plates on the inside and outside of the transom, highly recommend them, I had a bit more other work done as well I think I only paid all up $200.

    Give them a go,

    Cheers

  3. Since my annual camping trip to lake lyell has been put off(due to low water which means no boating) i was thinking of maybe trying out camping somewhere along the hawkesburry.

Is there any spots that are completly private, or dedicated camping sites?

I think there might be some bays inbetween jerusilum(spelling) and akuna bay that might be a good spot?

it would probably be for 1 night(car and trailer left at akuna bay marina)

    thanks

    G'Day Domza

Opposite Bar Island there are 2 beaches right next to Marramarra creek and Beauty Point they are pretty quiet spots but you do have to get up there as early as possible if not the night before.

Further up the river towards Spencer along side Marlow where the rock house is theres a camping ground which can be quiet called Greenmans valley caravan park you access it via the old pacific hwy at Mt White they have everything, all immenities and a very good boat ramp.

I hope that gives you a few ideas.

  5. Hi all,

I went to Spraycraft marine, up at Mount Kuringai near Berowra, a couple of weeks ago to get some work done to my 20 year old Quinny 4.2 tiller, and asked the question and he rekonds that it would cost $1800 to spray the top and the bottom of the boat in a off whitey cream colour, so if thats any indication let me know and Ill give you the fellas name and phone number.

They did a fantastic job on welding up the transom and remounting the winch my boat and trailer.

    cheers,

    mark

  6. :1fishing1:

Well headed out after a long drought of lack of fishing (1 month) yesterday, I left Berowra waters at around 7.00am and decided to go straight to lion island and the car park, F&S, got to the other side of Milson island and the chop picked up, started at 1 foot and by the time got to the bridges it was around 2 to 3 foot, too big for a 4.3 tiller Quinny. so headed back to mooney and got a couple of bream around 25 cm but through them back.

Then popped over to Bar island, where there were around 6 boats and waited for the outgoin tide and did some SP work, but to no prevail, only a 30 cm Fattie.

So after planning to have fish on the BBQ on a barmy winters night :05: I resorted to a steak.

Well at least the steak was good.
