Good idea for a topic.
Personally I think the "like" button's quite a good idea- a lot of people simply don't have time to comment on every post, but probably want fellow raiders to know they at least looked at it.
One thing that I've noticed from a personal perspective is that when I first started fishing last year, catching a bream over 20 cm was an event, or catching a first fish on SPs was a huge achievement and I really felt the urge to come on here and tell people about it. Now that I'm starting to get (a few) more fish that way, I don't really feel the need to put up every report. I tend to post if I've caught something worth telling about or if I've had a session with lots of fish. I don't generally bother with donuts, cos the report section would just be full of them.

I dont think fishraider is stagnating i think fishing itself is getting harder to catch anything decent to put in a post.
my last 2 outings to the bay have resulted in 2- 40 cm flattys
not post worthy
this summer seems a lot quieter than previous years

great read mike , waiting for some decent kings to show up in the bay
-
did you hook up on the kingy at molineux point
-
good karma will come your way after doing a good deed , better luck next time
-
what sized kings do you usually get at the yellow markers stew ?
-
cheers for the replies guys , we always have being using calamari but i guess a squid is a squid
-
sorry for being a bit naive peeps but we seem to have come across a good arrow squid situation and was wondering do kingfish have a preference to them or calamari. Cheers
-
good work guys, we are hoping to get out on sat and chase a few kingies
-
great catch there , always great getting a mixed bag
-
bad luck there buddy , i used to work for a boat trailer manufacturer common hubs where ford, holden and landcruiser , never heard of a peugeot hub on a boat trailer but ya never know
-
great work buddy we are going out today in the bay for a flick
-
the trailer on that size boat would be wider than the ute
and the right hand side wheel is inside the uteback so the left hand side would be hanging over by 3 foot lol
photoshopped for sure

Hi Kel ive been using the hummingbird for a few years its a 5 watt model, i mostly fish in botany bay so i find the range limited. as with being a vhf it all goes by line of sight and works ok once outside the heads
i have since upgraded to a mounted unit with a 6 db antenna and the coverage is 10 times better
also i would go the 5 watt models they have better transmission. cheers
