    Thinking twelve mile in the morning for a jig

    Browns for a couple of drops then out to heatons for a troll then have a cube late in the afternoon.

    If you're heading out on Monday, I got the day off. Bank holiday. I wouldn't mine a ride in your boat.

    Is your boat made of lead? Have you pulled your anchor back in? Only kidding mate,my 4.2 quinny in runabout configuration with old tech 30hp 2cyl carby MTNT Yamaha gets on the plane really well with an alloy 12"prop with 3 of us fat arses weighing 270kg combined, let alone the rest of the weight of all the other stuff on board.

    You should be able to plane easily in yours when on your own especially if its an open boat.

    I guess type of hulls, weight, etc make a difference.

    Add motor about 60-70kg, 3 person and gears, it is well over 600kg.

    What the spec of your boat?

    My 30hp is really too small for my boat with 3 people but try to fix it cheap and if the prop makes a differences, why not.

    Expanded calcium batteries

    You will need a charger that can charge Calcium battery. My old battery was Sea master Calcium MCA730. I used a Projecta PC800 to charge it and even then it took overnight to fully charged.

    Looking at the manual of my charger, it show that Calcium battery charge at 14.7V and others at 14.4V.

    Definitely speak to the people at Solas, I dealt with Shane. I had same problem as you it struggle to get to the plane even by myself. I got 4.2 Aluminium with 2 stroke suzuki 30hp.

    Last 2 numbers are usually the pitch size. My motor originally come with aluminium 12" and I was advised by going to 11" would give extra 200rpm and plane quicker.

    So I brought from them 11" Stainless steel and it did get me on the plane quicker but lost about 2kmph. Next test would be load the boat with 3 people and see how it perform.

    Shane advised that if I am not happy with it, I am not stuck with it and if I sell the boat I can get trade in on it.

    Got some discount and shipped to my door the next day.

The release happens because direct injection results in uneven burning of fuel due to uneven mixing of fuel and air (stratification) and because direct injection engines operate with a higher pressure in their cylinders than the older engines.

    This pollution can be prevented with a relatively inexpensive filter that can significantly reduce the emissions of particles. However, fitting the filter is not mandatory yet.

    Cheers for you help guys, really appreciate it.

    That's an interesting comment about the low voltage not being picked up at the car. I would probably lean towards buying a set with cables attached, saves a lot of stuffing around. The reason why I want to replace them is the plastic on my current globe lights has turned a nasty yellow colour and is beginning to crack.

    Hi,

    Done it 3 months ago on my Dunbier. Not hard just need to make such which wires is what ie(left/right indicator, brakes, running light/number plate light). They should be 12volts don't know what low voltage "Burnsy74" is talking about (Electrical Engineer background).

    I use the existing harness, just cut the cable as close to old lights. Strip back the cable and solder the harness to the LED light cable. Make such you remember to put on the heat shrink tubing first before soldering and put it far away from the soldering point as the cable with heat up and start shrinking the tubing. May have to sand a little off copper cable on the harness end due to oxidation and may not solder properly if there is too much oxidation (important point).

    Before shrinking the tubing over the solder joint check to see if it works by putting 12volts through the 7 pin connector. I used a 12 volt variable DC power supply (-ve to ground pin and move the +ve on the each of the 6 pin to find which will light up.

    Once done testing, rub very light grease over the solder point and cover it with heat shrink tubing and start shrinking. This will ensure it keep out any moisture. May also use another heat shrink tubing over all the cable to keep them bundle together, again much put on the tubing before soldering.

    Carp fishing winter?

    Go under the M4 bridge, look it up on the map and fish there. Last time I was there few months ago, I caught 5 using size 4 hook, 7 feet long telescopic with 14lb mono and 12lb lead. All of the carps was caught using corn kernels. The kid holding the carp would of been at least 5kg +.

    Me with my shoe to compare the size and I wear size 10US.

    They were all caught before 12pm and after that they stop baiting.

    GPS-Fishfinder?

    Hi, Huey

    I am look at Humminbird 597cXi HD against Lowrance Elite-5 Colour Fish Finder/GPS Combo with Navionics XL9 Gold Australia-Wide Chart.

    Which one would recommend?

    I mainly want good sounder then the GPS part of it.
