  1. Hey guys,

As I said it will be our first time out that wide , so if anyones keen to join let me know

    Cheers

  2. gday Raiders ,

Just wondering if anyone knows if they have put back in place the Botany close FAD? Heading out there tommorrow to try and snare a few nice Dollies.

Part 2: Does anyone know if the Sydney FAD and the wave recorder are holding any dollies 3 week ago we we're out there and it was only holding tiny yellowtail sized Kingys and no Dollies what so ever .

    Cheers in advanced guys

    Mitch

  3. hi mate , heard a few reports of a few fish being caught out at the farm and around the FAD. A couple years ago while on holidays up there we witnessed a beaky smashing up the Dollies at the FAD -was quite a site indeed

  4. Mmmm... Ok will get some yakkas and head out to Port Hacking FAD. Any tips for heading out? Never been out that far. Wish me luck fellas.

Just keep a look out on the weather although tommorrow looks like a nice day outwide so you should be right. Have a block of pillies ready for burley but dont go overboard as you will attract micro kingys and you wont get a bait passed them and the Dollies tend to spook- too many people make this mistake especially when they get right up on top of the FAD

  5. If it's anything like the Broken Bay Wide FAD I wouldn't bother. Heaps of small dollies but nothing close to legal. The water is awful, cool and dirty green. If it ever stops raining this "summer" give it a couple of weeks. Save your fuel and stay close in shore would be my advice.

head out to the traps around Rosa gully mate, caught 6 fish from 75-90cm there last week on yakkas. Give it another month for the FADS

  6. Hi Fisherman5,

    This is quite simple,

If you change your GPS to this format (eg. AGD66)which is what I think it is.

    enter the co ordinates

Then simply change it back to WGS84

    Simple as that.

But if you cant change it for what ever reason here they are E33.46.445 S151.25.359

approx 11km East off Dee Why Head

    Cheers

    Zed

thanks alot mate, really appreciate it . Let us know if you want some marks in exchange , more than happy

  7. Gday Raiders,

Just wondering if anyone has the marks for the Wave buoy a few klicks from the sydney harbour FAD? Went out searching for it a few weeks ago but was nowhere to be found , was going off the old marks I had in my gps :ranting2:

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated and would be willing to share some kingy and snapper spots in exchange

    Cheers fellas

  8. Might be late but i fished wide of the harbour today on a charter boat and nailed a 12kg dolly at one of the fads. It was only a few km's out from North Head. A Marlin was caught today straight from the same FAD. It was a 110kg stripie. They are right in close with the warmer currents!

thanks for the heads up mate , Anyone heading out tommorrow we'll be up off Broken bay call sign Fishful thinking on chganeel 16 or 17

    Cheers

  9. Hi Raiders,

  11. hey there raiders any tips on where to catch squid early mornings before going out in sydney harbour cheers :1fishing1:

hi mate usually middle head is worth a crack, best way we found is too have a big jig set up on a paternoster rig and left in the rod holder and having a smaller jig left in free spool also sitting in the rod holder and if you have 3 arms lol work another jig off the bottom and back to the boat( the traditional method), also the shoreline aeound taronga zoo too say clifton gardens is also worth a shot

  13. 3 - 5kg range. You're right, it was an unreal site. I was heading from quarantine to clifton when i came across them. Gotta love this city, ok a lot of shit happens but there is also a lot of magic!

Thats right mate i've heard it all now, from kingys caught up near putney to spotted and spanish macs to dollies in the harbour can't wait to get out there!!

    cheers fisho5
