  1. Good luck with that Jethro. I've been off them for about 5 weeks now. On the patches for 4 weeks, and this week has been completely nicotine free. I've even had a few nights on the  and it hasn't bothered me. Gives me more funds to allocate to my local tackle shops as well. :biggrin2:

  2. Sat arvo/night heading down to Seven Mile Beach to try my luck on the Jews... :biggrin2: will pull some worms in the arvo and fish with them into the night depending on the weather as well...

Thats IF i get all my homely duties done :(

And maybe back down there on sunday arvo/night again too

Seems like a good time to go down with nice tides and moon coming full on monday or tuesday!!!

  3. I would have to say sometimes i dont mind taking my mrs and a mate and his mrs out... but it has to be a planned day for it... not going out too far and just targeting simple fish

On other "serious" fishing days, no girls at all really unless they dont winge at all and pee before they go or learn to use a bucket :1prop:

And if they dont like the conversation... then they wont come again!

  4. Me and 4 other guys fished Thirroul beach on saturday till late... there were also AT LEAST 11-12 other guys fishing the beach and no one pulled up one fish... :ranting2::ranting2:

We had a couple small bites that were probly small flatties or something like that

Was very dissapointing considering the spot we were in looked like it was going to be fairly productive :(

Anyhoo that fishing i supopse :mad3: and :05:

  5. Well :)

the new boat comes in about 2-3 weeks 585 Streaker so cant wait to put the 10 hrs and get the service done then REALLY open her up :biggrin2:

my goals are FINALLY a marlin from the new boat and to get my old man onto one as he has never been for a good offshore fish yet and is a bit sceptical about it, at least a couple nice dollies on light gear is always fun too!!!

The mrs is having the bubs late december/early January so that will cut into fishing time but i am not complaining :yahoo:

Suppose over all... just have some fun get out fishing when i can and have a good time with mates!!!!

  7. Hi,

I got a Spheros 12000 reel and a T-Curve Jig Stick 37kg... i have 60lb Diawa braid on there (i think) it is colour coded as well...

whole thing cost me $600 or so i think i havnt used it heaps as other things have come up recently which equals not as much fishing, but am keen as to really get into it again soon!!! New boat will make it good as well :1naughty:

Combo is good... Jigs arnt too expensive and I use owner hooks for all the jigs i have...

whether you go over head or spin is personal preference i think... which ever suits you better...

  11. Put it down to both i think...

Skill in going to the beaches the day before and seeing where you are going to fish... and then making sure you have some nice bait...

Luck is getting one, i think the skill is in the preparation personally....

  12. Yeah i am prob going to go fishing tomorrow night with a 5:15pm (i think) high tide should not be too bad...

Will prob get there at about 4:15pm (knock off work early :1naughty: ) and fish away till i get too cold, bored or the :wife: rings me and says "get your ass home dinners ready"

Unless the fish are biting of course

Recently got some waders too, dunno why i never got them before... i used to just freeze my ass off and just wait till it ALL went numb hahahaha :1yikes: never go back now... unless in summer....

  13. I think as long as its legal and if havnt caught ALOT of other (fish) to eat then i will keep a flatty of any size...

As long as its legal than I have no guilt and no-one should try and shove it down your throat either.... :1badmood: just cause they do it doesnt mean everyone else has to...

Dont forget not all fisher-people get to fish all the time they might fish once a month, 3 months ect and would like to take a few fish to keep and freeze until they are able to go next... there is nothing wrong with this i think... as long as nothing is wasted...
