  2. Bayfisher,

Have alook for a magazine by Jeff Webster entitled Secondhand Boat Workshop.

It has step by step instructions as to how to replace the floor.

I got my copy at the local newagency.

Worth its weight in gold I reckon

    Steve

Perfect Steve, Ill have a look around the shops today and see what i can find, quotes come in at over $1500.00 to fix so doing it over a weekend sounds like a plan and save some $$$. a Question was it somethig you picked up recently? hopefully they still stock the mag.....

    Cheers Mat

  3. Bayfisher, it's very easy to do yourself. I would be happy to show you how if you are interested and have the time. Doing it yourself will save you heaps of bucks plus you get the satisfaction of doing it yourself. No weird skills necessary, just common sense. Should be able to complete in 1 day, maximum 2.

    Cheers,Tuffy ( Russ)

    Tuffy,

Thats a great offer thank you. Mate give me a call 0417009203 to dicuss if you like and maybe give me a few things to start on. Ive taken up 3/4 of the floor so its already drying so any advise would be fantastic.

  4. Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone can suggest a boat repairer or the like that can fix a rotten floor on a fibreglass boat I have. After fishing over the weekend I ended up putting my heal through a soft section of floorring  so I decided to rip up that section and proceeded to rip up most of the floor and check that the stringers are fine and only the flooring needs replacing. I live in the Hills area so someone local would be great.

    Any advice would be great.

  5. Mate, it’s a tragedy for this thing to happen. Authorities should make it a law that you need to fish off the stones with a vest on no matter what. They have done this for crossing bars cant see why they don’t impose this on rock fishing as well.

  6. Well done Jewiejoe on the fish great bag as mentioned, was out on the Bay Saturday and It was similar conditions so the Bay is sure firing. The :wife: and i caught heaps of Trevs and also a few nice sized snapper as well as a 65cm Kingie :yahoo: then moved to the cans (number 3) and picked up another Kingie. Looking forward to Anzac day if the weathers good again.

    Cheers Mat

  7. Would you be able to get in contact with a fish/ aquarium shop and ask if they can hold the fish for you for a short ammount of time whilst you transport the tank, thisway the tank can be emptied out completely.

Never ownd a saltwater tank but that might be an idea.

    cheers james

Great Idea James, have a few local fish shops so might drop past on the way home to see what i can arrange.

    Thanks

  8. Take as much of the water as you can as well. Put it in clean 25 litre drums and then just put it back in when it's in position.

    Cheers

    Kingpig

Thanks Kingpin yeah have a few of those containers so ill give that ago just have to work out moving the fish

  9. Hi Guys,

being a fishing site im sure some members have there fair share of fish tanks at home. I was after some advise from members regarding moving a saltwater fish tank. I have been offered a saltwater tank and need to disassemble it and bring it home. I believe that its stocked with fish and some coral life. Any members got some handy tips on moving a fully set up tank with minimal disruption to the fish.

Ive had tanks before but moving a setup tank is worrying me due to the fresh (saltwater) water setup after getting all the equipment home.

    any advise most welcome.

    Regards

  12. Hi All,

Was wondering if anyone has any idea on the tide time differences for the Hawkesbury River, was thinking of going for a :1fishing1: land based tomorrow up towards Wiseman’s ferry tides at 5:32am at Fort Denison what’s the time lag before it gets up that way.

Also anyone have any other suggestions on land based spots up that way.

    Thanks Mat

  13. Hey Idol threats

Bad luck on missing the Hawkesburry Classic :05: always when you dont want it to. Just a thought but have you tried Battery World (http://www.batteryworld.com.au) they supply battries and other spares and im sure the could hook you up with something.

    cheers Mat

    Hi All

I need some advice , I have blown up my power pack :mad3: , to make things worse I found this problem

on Friday night right before the Hawkesburry Classic.

I have been searching on the net for a marine wreakers or a parts dealer and have come up with very little , would anyone out there know where I might find a spare parts shop.

Or does anyone have one lying in the shed that they dont need and I can buy from them.

    The model is 1998 2stroke 25hp yamaha (25NMH NM 6L25004630) (6L28554023)

I look forward to your replies , thanks in advance.

    Regards

    Matt
