  1. She was beautiful exactly 26 hrs after catch - in foil with garlic, ginger, 100mls of coconut cream and a tablespoon of laksa paste. A spray of fresh lemon on the plate and of course a

    Smells good to me Tan!

  2. Squid seem to be attracted to light at night. Once there was this bloke (fishraider member I forgot his name) who brought a petrol generator with halogen lights to a wharf and lit the place up. The squid came pretty fast I managed to score 7 that night. The petrol ran out and the squid disappeared, until he came back with more fuel and lit up the place again then the squid came back! I never got around to buying a generator for squidding purposes hehe

  3. Very nice looking rods there!

I recently bought a pair of Berkley Dropshot 6'6" for $66 each delivered, usually retails around $100. Felt decent and pulled a 30cm bream with ease.

Those trions have much nicer butts though!

    PS,

How far can you cast those lures? I'm landbased and I feel very tempted!

  4. Hi Gee,

We have something in common. I often don't have time to fish, be lucky to make it out once or twice a month. I read the forums almost every day it makes me feel good reading other people's fishing reports hehe

I did not have a lot of luck either with freshly caught squid but damn they were tasty. I sometimes regret eating them, but damn they were tasty! Oh the dilemmas

  5. I feel your pain mate.

I was at the hacking after pumping about 40 live nippers. NOTHING touched the nippers... Wally's wharf was dead, Cook's bridge was dead (besides a football size puffer that grunted like a pig). All I wanted was a little fun on 2kg gear but the fish were nowhere to be seen, if they don't eat live nippers they're not around!

    Cheres,
