  1. Got out for an afternoon run on the boat. Getting big quality, not so much quantity.  Talked to some rock and beach guys who had singles or doubles. Any views on the it being the spike in temp, up to 26.7 off Northen beaches, 25.5 from the sounder sounder around flint and steel. Don’t know what is was a few days before.

  2. Had a chance to get out in search of a quick feed this afternoon. Flathead was on my mind for dinner, and given the conditions, my only problem was going to be missing the tide and a lack of wind and drift. It was worth the risk, top conditions and the current gave me the drift I wanted. I had my feed in a few hours and a bonus to finish on.

  3. My fist freshwater fishing report. Nil, Zip, maybe next time. The fish are deep on the sounder 30m. The water was cold 8.5. I have been told to try again when it warms up a bit. Any month ending in R. Nice place, I'll be back.

  4. Nice Dolli, we took a shot in the dark a couple of weeks ago. Started at the bait station, then down to Browns, then wide 10 km for nil. Water 21.7 East so turned back. Not even a Bonnie or Stripped. Should have run South. Anyone think its not all over this year around Sydney.

  5. Purchased some freshwater lures, going to try down riggers and casting for these Brown trout. Have some pellets as well. The boys at the tackle shop suggest I rig these hook this way. Any other tips? And do they take live bait, earth worms or something? Heading to Lake Lylle for my first trip.

  6. I'm a salt water fisho out of Broken Bay, looking to take the boat to a big lake or river to try my luck on the freshwater in the next few months. Trout would be nice. Can anyone recommend a location big Enough to launch a 21ft boat that offeres a reasonably chance of landing a fish or two?

  7. Got away to Crowdy Head, for a few good Snapper. Lots of sharks. Used 50 hooks. The boat ramp was great. I'll be back. However I returned to Sydney to find the Snapper are here.

  8. With bad weather, fished inside for three Bream, a Whiting and trev all between 6-8am, the rest of the day was not so great. Apart from a sambo taking a live yakka in Pittwater. Tried up the river, near the leases, under the bridge. The brown water started at Juno on the way up. Maybe that was a bad sign.
