spot on man to much rain give it at least another week to settle

you have some great water at your doorstep if your not after a feed try out the nepean river
boat ramp at tench reserve
targeted fish
bass
mullet
carp
and the good old eel
all can be caught on a big variety of bait
mullet and carp prob the best for the kids just a simple float rig with bread or corn baits berly lightly thats it
bass can be caught on bait but i prefer a lure might be something to look into alot more patience needed
cpl of nice spots up river to pull up let the kids run a muck swim what ever

if your happy with catch and release fishing (not keeping for a feed)you have a great river only 10 minutes from home that being the nepean river bass, carp and mullet are the most targeted species there i gave caught all 3 on lure and bait great way to pass a cpl of hours if ya got nuthn better to do plenty of shore based spots from camden to windsor including penrith
a cpl of spots you might want to try the rowing club at penrith and opposite side of the river emu plains below the weir at penrith richmond plenty of land based access there around the windsor bridge is another good spot
google earth is a fishos best friend plenty of water to explore
bass=lures im against bait fishing for bass but its up to you
carp=bread or corn baits i find unweighted the best but a small sinker is fine to
mullet=bread baits float fishing
all great to target and go bloody hard an light gear
but if you go lure bass fishing i can not be held responsible for and sort of addiction you and your partner may get
forgot to mention if fishing for any of these species morning or afternoon by far the best time to fish or in the middle of the night for bass is the best but tht one a secret ok
just have to give the river a week to settle as all this rain we've had has it about 1 meter higher than what it is normally

your welcome aboard any time man shame the bigger fish didnt want to play might just be abit to early in the season for the fish to be up that far
give it a cpl of weeks and we'll hit it early one morning try and get ya into some bigger fish
-

nice session guys hoping for a bummpa season this year been a bit quiet the last cpl of years

if your fishing light plastics you might want to look at a softer braid iv completly gone away from fireline and iv used it all including the new exceed which i used for 1 session and it came straight back off just to stiff for me nitlon is very good for its price as is sunline range and if you dont mind spending some $$$ grab a spool of td sensor cant beat it
the main reason for the softer braid is distance in casting alot better i reccon you can feel a lot more of whats going on to
just my opinion

go the lighter outfit mate bream are around all year round especially in winter when the big girls come out to play yes a bit harder to target but bigger fish in winter if your a bit concerned about it being only a bream out fit consider bumping the reel up to a 2000 and loading it with 6lb sunline perfect for bream but will also handle larger species to (within reason)
happy birthday to
