Thats one awesome bream mate

Cheers guys for your input, very helpful.
We have caught a nice range of fish in the river,
reddies, bream, flathead & whiting.
This week we are heading to Tomaga river, Turros & maybe the Clyde.
Cheers.

Hi guys/gals,
Heading to Moruya for a 2 week hoilday starting on Monday . We will be fishing from a boat on the river mainly for flathead & bream, also hopefully to wade the flats for whiting. Just wondering if anybody knows of any top spots on the river that are 'hot spots' for flathead & bream. I'll say we will be mostly drifting from the bridge down to the mouth. We are also likely going to head to Tuross & Clyde river for some drifting, we have never fished at Tuross but have fished the Clyde river many times.
Cheers.

Thank you everyone for your input.

Thank you very much guys for your input.
I was looking at the Dragonfly but the nearest retailer to me is in the ACT (i live near Albury).
The ones on my short list are:
Garmin Echo 551dv $549
Lowrance Elite 5x chirp $379
Humminbird Helix 5 di $520
I went to bcf to have a look at the Garmin & Lowrance screens & interface etc.. & they both look great but there is close to a $200 difference in price, there is a boat joint around here that stock the Humminbird so ill pop in there to have a look.
Cheers Guys.

Hi Raiders,
Iam trying to get my head around all the tech info on fish finders, i fish freshwater & coastal estuaries. The tinnie came with a finder but its an $99 condor, only good for water depth & water temp.
Would love to get advice on a fish finder models around the $600 price range, GPS is not important at all, is chirp better then non chirp etc... Just after people's thoughts & experience on various models around that price range.
Cheers Guys.

From memory the ones under 1 meter long tasted better. If where you're catching them from is muddy, you can put them in a bathtub of fresh water for a day they will spew out heaps of mud and they'll taste less like 'dam water'.
Great tip

School holidays, long weekends, once a year boaters and great weather......say no more.....
Alot of guys avoid these times to go fishing like the plague if they can to avoid the hassles.
You hit the nail on the head there mate, no turer statement.
