  1. I noticed the trailer is not braked. I think with the 750kg limit you might cut it very close.

Also the trailer has still a regio sticker, which has been abolished 2 years ago here in NSW, don't know about QLD.

Yeah trailer and boat were out of rego but i gave the some more $$ to do the inpections and rego ?

  2. Mate its only 6K even with your tinny Im sure would have learned that money doesn't go far with boats, buying a boat without seeing it, that would concern me its a big gamble but being an older boat lets hope the age is its only downfall. I would suggest taking some tools and replacing the wheel bearings before dragging it all that way home or try to get the shop to do it but best while your there so you know it gets done properly & not just leaned around the outside, if neither of them insure it with club marine they provide road service with there insurance so that your not leaving your new boat parked on the road side.

IM with jgrant on the alloy as long as it has been looked after will be fine, electrical in the boat is not a problem (easy repair) electrical and/or anything else under the motor cowling thats where you dont want trouble it can be very costly. I have a lot of faith in the old Johnson's I think it looks pretty good

When will we see you up the Hawksbury?

Great advice, didnt cross my mind. Last thing i want is breaking down in the middle of nowhere! Agree about the johnsons, my tinny had a 1990 2 stroke johnson and that thing didnt give me any problems whatsoever, fingers crossed this one doesnt either.

If all goes well ill pick up the boat next weekend and hopefully be on the water the weekend after. Bright yellow boat will be hard too miss haha

  3. I wouldn't worry too much if it's an alloy boat, they tend to be pretty tough. as long as the motor runs well and the electrics are all ok, you see some shoddy DIY stuff on boats & trailers, particularly older ones like that. Seems pretty tidy but I'd be slightly concerned by the lack of pics they've put up, especially since it's a dealer. Maybe ask them to take some pics of the motor with the cowling off, the battery & electrical connections, trailer close ups and the interior? Might save you a trip up especially if the motor is filthy and doesn't look well maintained....

1yr warranty is certainly a plus though!

Thanks for the reply. I did get them to send me more photos, and it was pretty clean. Just that price tag seemed a bit cheap for a dealer. Lets hope shes a beaut! Cant wait too hit up the hawkesbury

  4. Hi all. Ive recently decided to upgrade from a small tinny and found a alloy runabout for 6000 buks (see link). Thought it was pretty cheap, so ive put a deposit down. Anyone know anything about this brand? Slightly concerned its abit cheap to be good. Much appreciated. Picking it up in several weeks. I havent seen it real life as its in qld and im from Sydney

    Much appreciated[emoji106]
