  1. Yeah mate, it's the Pimpama river. Fought very well on the Bream rod.

I didn't know you could get theme in there. My dad once caught a large catfish in there and I have caught a small blue salmon in there but we don't fish there anymore as we never really caught much just a lot of snags.

  2. I have not used it myself but I have read a few reviews on it and everyone of them said that they were breaking well under its stated breaking strain.

  3. Shimano Sedona 2000fe, it has 4kg of drag, a 5.0:1 gear ratio and 3+1 ball bearings, it should hold plenty of 6lb braid and should cost $100 or less maybe a little bit over I'm not sure but I have the 5000 size Sedona and I love it as it is a very smooth and handles fish very well.

  4. I have caught a few small bream on it but because we don't have a boat we don't have as much access to other more populated areas so I am yet to actually catch a fish on a lure, I just caught these bream on bait but it is very fun using light gear. I never imagined myself using light gear as I always worried about getting spoiled but the chances of that are low.

  5. I need help with identifying some fish. I was in the Coomera river today using the cast net to catch bait and kept catching these small fish that looked similar to bream and herring but I don't have any photos of them can you please suggest what it may be as any help would be appreciated.

  6. I have chosen to instead get a new rod and reel instead of a soft plastics rod for the Sedona as the Sedona 5000fe is not really the best for soft plastics. I have bought the Shimano Stradic ci4+ 2500 and the Shimano revolution inshore bream spin 6102 and 16.5lb Fireline exceed with birthday and Christmas money.

  7. Hi I recently bought a new shimano Sedona c5000fe reel and I would also like a new rod to match it. I normally fish at Jabiru Island and Coombabah Fishing Platform from land as I don't have a boat, I will normally target anything I can catch but I mainly just catch bream and sometimes Moses perch and flathead. I would like this rod to be fairly light and be quite good for soft plastics and I would like a rod under $200. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
