Found it mate. Wow. What a big area to fish.

I wonder if they still put on a sinker after the floater?

Hello fishraiders,
I just got back from fishing at the entrance, caught around 20 bream however all undersize (all released back to the water). I saw these guys fishing on the wharf and they have a different set up, they had floaters and caught a lot of legal size fish. I was wondering what is this set up? so its a float tied to a swivel then to a line, finally a hook? If so how far do you cast it? I saw the floater near the wharf. My set up is mainline with a size 3 bead sinker to a swivel and then a line tied to a hook with some prawn as bait.
I've always catch legal size fish and I'm really fed up . I've always see other people catching legal size fish and I've always seen tailors jumping out of the water taunting me .
Please give me some guidance and set up.
Thank you. Howe.
I'm exactly like you buddy.... Every time I catch a fish it's always just under legal size. I wonder what are they doing that's different

Took my two boys crabbing today in the Hawkesbury, Kids had a great time pulling up the traps.
All up we probably caught 25 crabs letting the smaller ones go and keeping 17.
Bait used Mullet, all caught on the incoming tide.
Wow.. Great catch mate... Is this land based?

Ok. So I'm a beginner. Just wondering if you fishing legends can provide me with some advice.
So I've tied the line to go through the sinker and then knotted around the swivel. On the other end, I did a knot on the lure to the swivel. Is this how you do it?
Also, it feels like the lure is too heavy, my reel keeps on spinning as it can't support the weight. Does that mean it's too heavy or something wrong with the reel??
Also, do I need to put baits on the end of the lure or will I be fine using just the lure?
Hope you guys/girls can help
Thanks

Hey fishing lovers
thinking of heading out to palm beach for some beach fishing sometime soon. Do you reckon these normal fishing rods would be suitable or I really need a beach fishing rod??? Thanks for your help
