  1. My Optimax is good on fuel, but my boat is light. 75hp pushing 5m tinny is 3km per litre. use this https://www.boat-fuel-economy.com/mercury-optimax-outboard-fuel-consumption-liters select the hp & rpms to give you a guide. As well as other brands
  2. See https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/maritime/safety-rules/safety-equipment/flare-disposal.html
  3. I need closure on this 😀
  4. When you say switch here, do you mean the 2 way battery switch or something else? What switch do you have, the negative shouldn’t go to the battery switch.
  5. For half price I would. I think the CV does not have any inbuilt maps or ability to add maps so no region issues there.
  6. “Response precision” - my Google fu couldn’t find an online manual for it.
  7. Nah you’ll get it running off one, something is amiss
  8. You won’t get that sort of voltage unless the engine is running. What stereo is it? Does the stereo work on one battery while your motor is running(flushing etc)
  9. Got a multimeter? Measure the voltage on the radio terminals on each battery setting. From what you’ve said above, as everything adjacent on the fuse block is working could be both batteries could be weak. What’s the radio earthed to?
  10. Switch off. that said, I’ve double checked with a multimeter there was no phantom draw once switched off.
  11. Don’t get the outback diesel. There are a plethora of members in the outback Facebook group with dpf issues - even those who do country miles.
  12. I feel your pain. I have an ageing outback with the 3.0. It tows 1.2t fine. i won’t be replacing the car with another outback because of the cvt. to answer your question - yes it will tow it, but I don’t know how long the cvt will last. On a side note the new 2020 with the turbo has higher towing specs then the 2019 3.6 (American specs anyway)

I got 10 on Saturday. They seem to be holding deeper than usual at the moment.
  15. Maybe there is a different fuse. From the intereweb ”The fuse is located on a separate circuit right under the batter positive cover or hidden around the back of battery either way it is there near the positive post somewhere ( I do believe it will not be part of the normal fuse system- in a triton”
