  1. I only had to replace the motor of the tilt. Tilt itself was fine. Lower part of the motor was fine too.

Search for "69W-43880-00-00", the images should give you an idea what to look for. about AU$ 300. New.

    Don't get rip'd off.

Thanks for the heads up mate, would like to get it done but $1600 scared me away. Will definitely look it up, also my one works sometimes so the motor has got bit of life in her cheers mate

  2. $1600 sheeeeesh

I was recommended to buy replacement part, and bring boat and part to replace it.

Otherwise quote was arounf $800 because of price of original part.

Watched on youtube what has to be done, and did it myself.

Yeah mate mechanic told me $900 for the part (not new) and "around" $700 for labour so I think it's alot cheaper to use my arms atm!

  3. Hi mate, hope all is well, I have the same issue with my 2 stroke yamaha sometimes it works sometimes just click click click and nothing else I had a mechanic check it out we tested the relay, battery, wiring wich was all good so he said it was my tilt motor if you gently tap on the tilt trim motor should work for about 30 seconds (if you have the same problem as me) good luck mate hope you fix soon I got quoted $1600 for the tilt trim motor and labour.

  5. Hey mate, I'm also new to boating well (2 months experience) best thing to do is go late at night when nobody's there and just launch and retrieve 2-3 times I'm still not the best but getting a it better I have a 16ft half cabin I seen a few people driving it on the trailer so I tried that and failed big time lol so now I just manually do it all but try and go when there's no body there because some "experienced boaters" will make you feel like your an idiot and don't have the patience ( not all but the few Iv seen) Iv hit the boat around 35 times on the pontoon now and last week nearly ended up on the pontoon but it's ok you will learn from your mistakes good luck I'm going out tonight hopefully it's not a struggle!

Hi guys new to fishraider I have recently purchased my first boat don't have much mates who are interested in fishing and the wife's 26 weeks pregnant DEFINITELY will not be asking her to come out for a day fishing otherwise would be spending the night in hospital! I'm not really an experienced fishermen just always loved fishing so decided to get a boat, probably wouldn't do any deep sea fishing but any. Bites or hook ons will be good enough for me!

DIY service looks very easy based on YouTube (the changing oil bit anyway) are they just making it look that easy or just literally open 2 screws flush old oil and add new? Thanks heaps mate
