  1. Wow, they are some healthy fish

    Well done mate

What sort of plastics do you use for trout?

From memory it was a molix ra shad 3" black and red.

The Brookie was on a rapala spotted dog.

  2. nice report mate. Are these in state forests down their or private property?

A little bit from column A and a little bit from column B.

Most property owners have gates or ladders for people walking the banks.

Found a better pic of the brook trout. Pretty stoked with that. Was a really fat fish.

  3. Headed down to Jindabyne with a mate yesterday after we heard rumours that it was fishing well.

Walked along the banks chucking a mix of hardbodies and plastics at the edges.

Landed 2 Browns and my first Brookie (and the only fish I landed the entire day).

The Brookie was about 45 - 50 while the Browns were 55+.

Haven't got pics of the Browns as they are on my mates camera, but will post them up when I do get them.

All in all a great day out.

  4. Hi All,

I hope this is the right forum subsection for this and if not apologies to all.

I have a trip booked to the coast come the October long weekend.

Three days of fishing planned, two of which will be spent targeting flatties and one chasing kings off the rocks. Well aware of the risks involved with the latter.

I have never attempted to catch kingfish before so an tips on lures / bait or techniques would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Adam
