  1. I've just got a new renagade 460 and am struggling with the same thing tbh. Went out like you on Friday and caught FA as well on the squid front. So I'll be watching for the replays as well [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

  2. If its snow like on ur screen ur sensitivity is to high u need to adjust it, go to pages and select a page without the gps map, than press menu and it should be the very top one, also when u say u dont see fish symbols do u mean actual fish symbols or archers

hi mate, thanks for your reply. When I say fish symbols I mean arches.

  3. I have the hook 5, as for set up all I have done is turn it on

the dealer set mine up and it's just not right I think. A heap of what looks like snow on the screen and 0 fish symbols.

  4. Good evening all.

I'm delighted to offer up my first fishing report I apologize in advance because it's not as exciting as some.

I set off from Roseville ramp at around 5am to a crisp 8 degrees.

Headed out with the mission of learning my way around a little I.e rocky point, sugarloaf bay, wedding cake etc.

the water appeared very clear in both middle and the main harbour. I stuck my head out of north head for a little bit but as it's the first time I'm not sure if it looked clear or not.

Water temp was a consistent 17.5 - 18 degrees. The swell inside was flat and it was a cracking day. I kept my eye on the birds but nothing seemed interesting. I didn't see anything busting up the surface anywhere.

I managed to land my first squid on a pink yozuri followed by one more :) I dropped a live squid off the side around the spit on my way home to try my luck but no interest at all.

    Thanks,

    MP

  5. Good on you ! What boat did you get if I may ask?

100m North of the northbridge rowing club, just past the moored boats. I caught them west side of sugarloaf as well when we moore there overnight. Both good from dusk till dawn. During daytime, Balmoral rocky point would be the go.

Hi mate I ended up getting a Quintrex renagade with the 70 Yamaha on the back. Thanks for the tips on the squid I really appreciate it.

  6. The day is almost upon me to collect the new boat (this Saturday:)) being excited and all I'll be taking it out immediately if not sooner. I would like to take it out for its maiden run on Saturday afternoon for a few squid. I'll be launching it from the Roseville ramp can anyone suggest and decent spots for squid now I'm no longer restricted to land based[emoji847]
