  1. They are quite good on a chew, however, amount of fine bones makes the whole process totally unbearable. I tried it once out of curiosity and by the time I finished (keep in mind - it was just one medium size fish baked in foil) it went cold and I was extremely exhausted by all this precision bone picking and bored to death.

Education is the go. But certain people will not lisen. People think it won't happen to me I am Bullet proof.

Yeah, education is good for someone who is eager to learn. But if example of others who died there just three weeks ago at the same spot in exact same conditions doing exactly the same taught them nothing, then nothing else will.

The real scary thing is that these people drive cars, share roads and do something at their workplaces - one thought of this gives me shivers.

Very nice mate. Are the blades the same or similar to those vibes people talk about? A mate at work(that's a better fisho than me) told me there's a soft/rubbery vibe and a harder one.He told me to get the rubbery one.

       Cheers.

Samaki Vibelucious or Zerek Fish Trap would be good examples of soft vibes.

  4. Great stuff! I am glad that I came across this chat as there are a few packets of Gulp in my possession that were going to be thrown in the rubbish bin soon as they have dried out. It’s time to rejuvenate them then, thanks folks.

Also, does anyone have an experience of using Gulp Alive Recharge?

However, the intent of my post wasn't to highlight the guys kids, but to point out that regardless of warning signs, people pay no attention, nor have any common sense whatever in many dangerous situations.

    Exactly.

And we are talking about the place that remains in news headlines year after year. Here is citation from usual Illawarra Mercury article from randomly taken year (2013 in this instance):

”Deputy State Coroner Mark Buscombe recommended the Department of Primary Industries consider making lifesaving devices compulsory for rock fishermen.

The department funds the installation of angel rings at key rock fishing sites including Port Kembla, educational workshops and safety DVDs in Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese.”

Not sure if all those plates on the rock walls with names of the deceased on all languages still remain there...

But hey, people are going these just a couple days after mass drowning, getting into the same kind of trouble, then feel offended by very reasonable comments about their cognitive abilities and proceed with blaming everyone and everything but themselves for what has happened. On the other hand, there is nothing new about this...

  6. I would not be making a rush decision based on what is happing right now. Summer holiday time, especially on weekends, is always a nightmare, and I personally gave up going anywhere near the water in such times long time ago - there are no joy or fish, just frustration. Saying this, the things should improve from February, and winter time is generally nice and relatively quiet.

  7. These are very impressive videos, Volitan, and the idea is cool overall.

I actually got an answer to a question that bothered me for a while about how and why my pilchards lose eyes, and was surprised to see a butterfly fish in Wagstaffe.

Anyway, great work and I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

  8. While I am with you, JonD, on all environmental issues, in order to consider and feel for “the big” people have to be on the very top of the Maslow’s piramide. In fact the most of us are at the bottom of it or somewhere in the middle, if we are lucky enough, and have to fight the issue of our own personal extinction (which is inevitable anyway in next 0-80 years, lol).

  9. I am sorry to say but these people behave this way only because they are allowed to do so and authorities are perfectly fine with it judging by lack of any action apart from very seldom tick-box “operations” with public notice well before their start.

  10. I got stung by really big one while kayak fishing on West Reef (silly me tried to get a baby squid out of its mouth, lol). It was not that bad I would say, painful of course but not really painful-painful.

As for the cooking stuff, amount of meat there and quality of it can not justify killing the creature to me.
