I am glad you are back with your videos. That is really great and informative stuff, and I have got answers to a number of questions about what is happening down below.

They are quite good on a chew, however, amount of fine bones makes the whole process totally unbearable. I tried it once out of curiosity and by the time I finished (keep in mind - it was just one medium size fish baked in foil) it went cold and I was extremely exhausted by all this precision bone picking and bored to death.

Yeah, education is good for someone who is eager to learn. But if example of others who died there just three weeks ago at the same spot in exact same conditions doing exactly the same taught them nothing, then nothing else will.
The real scary thing is that these people drive cars, share roads and do something at their workplaces - one thought of this gives me shivers.

Great stuff! I am glad that I came across this chat as there are a few packets of Gulp in my possession that were going to be thrown in the rubbish bin soon as they have dried out. It’s time to rejuvenate them then, thanks folks.
Also, does anyone have an experience of using Gulp Alive Recharge?

Exactly.
And we are talking about the place that remains in news headlines year after year. Here is citation from usual Illawarra Mercury article from randomly taken year (2013 in this instance):

Not sure if all those plates on the rock walls with names of the deceased on all languages still remain there...
But hey, people are going these just a couple days after mass drowning, getting into the same kind of trouble, then feel offended by very reasonable comments about their cognitive abilities and proceed with blaming everyone and everything but themselves for what has happened. On the other hand, there is nothing new about this...

I would not be making a rush decision based on what is happing right now. Summer holiday time, especially on weekends, is always a nightmare, and I personally gave up going anywhere near the water in such times long time ago - there are no joy or fish, just frustration. Saying this, the things should improve from February, and winter time is generally nice and relatively quiet.

These are very impressive videos, Volitan, and the idea is cool overall.
I actually got an answer to a question that bothered me for a while about how and why my pilchards lose eyes, and was surprised to see a butterfly fish in Wagstaffe.
Anyway, great work and I am looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

While I am with you, JonD, on all environmental issues, in order to consider and feel for “the big” people have to be on the very top of the Maslow’s piramide. In fact the most of us are at the bottom of it or somewhere in the middle, if we are lucky enough, and have to fight the issue of our own personal extinction (which is inevitable anyway in next 0-80 years, lol).

“Training” courses for boat / PWC are merely a formality and knowledge test is a joke.
Regardless, drink driving, speeding, running red light are prohibited too. Are rules and prohibitions alone stopping anyone (from brainless mob)?

Yep, attending the spot after everything and everyone has long gone is very good tick-box practice - procedure is followed and case is closed. People of Ettalong must be very pleased with outcome of their numerous petitions.

I am sorry to say but these people behave this way only because they are allowed to do so and authorities are perfectly fine with it judging by lack of any action apart from very seldom tick-box “operations” with public notice well before their start.

I got stung by really big one while kayak fishing on West Reef (silly me tried to get a baby squid out of its mouth, lol). It was not that bad I would say, painful of course but not really painful-painful.
As for the cooking stuff, amount of meat there and quality of it can not justify killing the creature to me.

It seems to be a good advertisement for OK (looks like Prowler Ultra or whatever they are called these days) showing how stable they are and able to withstand viscous shark attack without flipping. You aren’t gonna need a bigger boat if you have an OK! 😁
