went to browns today to chase fin and decided to set a spread of lures out so as i was setting the last lure the long corner starts screaming so 2min with lures in the water we had hooked up on 15kg we knew it was a good fish after it took about 600m of line on the first run so long story short after a 1hr 30min fight we had him boat side dragged him on board and by that time there were smiles all round. went to weigh it in at sgfc and it pulled the scales to 65.7kg bled so a very pleasing day and a new pb pictures are posted below
cheers

m8 anywhere along budgewoi beach is good one of the best beaches to fish from just find a gutter or a nice looking hole and fish it an hour either side of the high tide. best baits are stripe tuna, pilched and worms. for whiting just use a small ball sinker running to a swivel and about a 10lb trace tied to that with about a size 1 long shank hook. if you are after salmon or tailor use a star sinker to a swivel with about 30lb of trace and a set of 3/0 or 4/0 gang hooks. as far as rock fishing goes anywhere around pelican point which is near Norah head light house is good. and as far as budgewoi lake is concerned if you head near budgewoi circle and fish under the road bridge there you get flatties, bream. best rig is just a small ball sinker running to a swivel to a trace of about 6lb and a size 3 baitholder hook. best bait is prawns. if you would like anymore help or would like me 2 give you more info pm me
i hope this helps
