  2. You are starting to make this Tuna fishing look easy aren't you.

Arman told me that he heard of a few Fin being caught out there and Dave is making a bit of a Pig of himself this season with the Yellow fin ! !

Keep up the good work and Congratulations all round.

    Hi Arman

    Don't forget me

It's been ages since I had one of Henry's Famous European rolls.

Congrats on the taggings on the weekend, a great effort by ALL involved on "Lockout".

    talk to you all soon

  4. Well done lads........good fish. My guess it is a Blue Marlin, going by the shape of the head and long lower jaw.

    Hi Nick

It looks like a Blue to me going on the photo. Send us some more shots of the fish and I'll try to work out what it was ??. If you still have the Head at home measure from the tip of the bottom jaw to the back of the Gill case and from the base of the dorsal to the middle of the pectoral fins. And did the Pec fins fold flat and if you kept them take a pic for me OK. Then I'll check with Fred Montobello as he keeps all of his measurements.

Can you at least put up your Mates name on your next post.

good work mate, you heading to nowra in feb? if so we have to have a beer bud,

    cheers andy,

Don't think his dad would approve as he only just left the JR ranks for fishing. Better make it a "Softie"

Got to agree with you about your DAD being bad luck but he WILL make up for it this season !!!

    Ken

  5. sorry silvo you can blame me for all the bad weather in the coming week, as i have planned holidays

    cheers arman

Remember your last Holiday in Febuary down at Crookhaven Heads, for the Nowra Convention.

10 Days of Wind, Rain and huge Seas.

You even went home early as i remember.

Not saying your Jinxed or anything ??

  6. good one Ken.. were you still holding the rod the whole day ? thumbs must be sore. great looking fish. congrats 2all ......

    Hi Dave

No I took the lazy option that weekend and put it up the starboard outrigger in my "Southam" line release.

Worked like a charm as usual. After I heard the "Twang" of the line releasing it was a simple matter of strolling over and slowly pushing the drag lever up. She must have been hungry as the circle hook connected inside the mouth, not in the hinge of the Jaw as usual.

Back down the van this weekend, but taking the Boss there this time to rack up some Brownie points.

Keep an ear open about JB as I'd love another shot at those Striped Marlin again.

  7. The young lass with you is certainly very accomplished as well.

Hey Dave I'm not sure if Jewgaffer knows you at all but I think the Flowing Locks in the photo has given him the wrong impression about your Gender ???

    Big Ken

  8. Hi Arman

First thing is thanks for the invite on the weekend, Very much appreciated and I had a great day fishing with you and Dave. Well worth the drive all the way to Murray's Beach boat ramp as it's a lot shorter trip out to the fishing grounds than from Crookhaven Heads. After fishing the Banks the previous couple of trips it's a very different Ball game fishing the wider grounds for me. first and foremost is the use of a very good sounder to locate the bait out there, very different than sighting them around the Banks or filling up just outside the heads.

Fantastic sight seeing those free swimming "lit up" Striped Marlin just behind the boat.

    About the fast starboard turn

i hit the throttles forward and nearly deposited the boys in the drink, lol
I nearly Sh#t myself when it happened ad felt sure we were going for a Swim.
a little while later the trace came to hand again and the leader let go

I told you I now have a new name for you on the trace Arman Schwarzenegger Not that I'm saying your a bit heavy on the Trace or anything ArmanSchwarzenegger.jpg:05:

Can't wait to go out and do it all again but I hear "Management" has plans for you this weekend ???.

Probably go down the van (Greenwell Point) Thursday and either fish the Banks or the same area as the Weekend.

Once again Thanks for a Fantastic Day out in MR MAGOO. !

    Big Ken

  9. Hi Arman

I Hope the video footage stacks up to the to the Great story.

Get your A#se over here ASAP so i can have a look at this Beast in action.

Had a quiet laugh when I called the little missus and she told me you would be home early for a change as the weather forecast was not that great. She still does live in HOPE doesn't she :1prop: .

    Ken

  10. OH Magoo You've done it again

    Hi Arman

First time on the Web since we spoke Sunday.

Getting a bit annoyed with all successful reports you have been posting lately.

But the story & Pics sure make for an interesting read !!

The 50 sure looks a bit empty there on the mako's dive to the bottom.

Drop it over when you get a chance and we will do an autopsy on it to sort out any problems it may have developed.

Hope the Weather Gods are kind for this W/End as we are planning a trip Sat.

    Talk to you soon

    Ken

  11. Hi Arman

When we heard you call the marlin on I thought straight away that you got it on a Livie, wasn't till a bit later we heard it was on a cube.

like to thank NIC NAT(Henry)for calling us over late in the trail to let us pinch a fish from there trail also

No problems calling you over as I'm sure you would do the same for us.

A bit spooky coming home in the dark from browns and we were a bit slower coming back as young Nick drove back and we told him to go as fast as he felt comfortable. Your Tub goes very well now with the new Motor and how much fuel did you use for the round trip ???

Planning to do it all again on Sat/Sun weather permitting ?

    catch you soon

    Ken

  12. nice fish there tony

and ken is that a freezer truck in the background?

    Hi Arman

It's his refrigerated work truck as he has his own smallgoods, etc, etc, run here in Sydney.

That is why he can fish during the week as he has Tuesday & Fridays off.

He's starting to give me the sh#t's now as he knew Diddly Squat when he joined the club and has already beaten my best Yellowfin (66.5 KG), Dolphinfish (13.0 KG) and now the blue eye. Not showing him anything any More.

  14. hey NIC_NAT did you guys fish the banks or jb

would like to say thanks to marlin magic for helping us out with the marks

    cheers arman

    Hey Arman

We have to call each other more often on the mobiles as I was fishing on NIC-NAT Saturday but did not hear you on the radio (94) all day. Got some Horse livies at the bait ground (Crooky) but could not find the bait schools at the canyons so we dragged plastic around for all zero's. Launched at Shoalhaven Heads and travelled down by water as we were only going for the day but stayed overnight at Henry's relatives south of Nowra and drove home early Sunday

    talk to you soon

    Ken

  15. Hi Nick

You must like climbing up and down Mountains if you went back down the river again in the afternoon.

Here are a couple of shots from the morning session including Kyle's 40CM bass.

  16. I don't think they get much bigger than that in Australia

    Cheers

    Tony

The FCA record last Time I looked was 4.1 KG and we have one hanging up in the club (AFA of NSW) that went 6 pound 13 ounces from the Georges River in the early 19 hundreds.

  17. No hump on head = bream ..

    MASSIVE bream !!

Does not mean it's a Bream just because there is no hump as a lot of XX0S snapper from NZ & Norfolk Island don't have humps as well.post-473-1197950023_thumb.jpg

Definitely a Thumping Big Yellowfin Bream
