  3. G'Day Marty,

Have not been out myself for a few weeks (waiting for the holiday crowds to die down ) but was doing OK along the weed banks at the southern end of the lake off Killarney Vale thru to Chittaway. Hope this helps.

    Cheers

  4. hi all, just wondering if any raiders have targeted blue swimmers at the entrance as i have just returned from nelsons bay and caught a lot there with a local mate,(thanks gary). i will be going down the entrance on australia day long w/end and want to target a few crabs as well as a bit of flattie fishing.

    ALL TIPS GREATLY APPRECIATED.

  5. Marty they could have used a small pig for bait as you say but for economy I reckon they use old rabied dogs to eradicate those things.

That frightening freak would cost up to $4.50 in hooks, ball swivels, snapper leads, and leader to get rid of :mad3:

HI BYRON, I THOUGHT THE DINASAUR DAY,S WERE OVER. BUT STILL THAT WOULD

BE A NEW PB FOR ME TO CATCH ONE OF THEM IN MY TINNY. :074:

  6. That is one scary fish, :1yikes: did they tell you what type of fish it is

and what type of bait used to catch it.( maybe used a small pig for bait.) :074:

That thing has some serious fangs, imagine that jumping round the floor of a small tinnie.

  7. Hi Ivan, i was at the entrance on sunday and saw the inspectors

talking to a lot of landbased fishos, it looked as if a lot of them

went home just after they were there. good to see them doing there job.

hasn't the entrance come alive since the flood. :yahoo:

  8. Hi There,

    Nice fish!

I have also recently bought a sounder and want to attach it to my tinny. Trouble is i can't even drive a nail straight, any tips on installation?

Did you use stainless screws? Can you actually stick them to your boat with those suction cup things?

Do you have power from your engine or do you have a battery set up?

I will need to set up a battery. Any tips of brands or types of battery i should buy?

    Thanks

    Ted

    hi Ted,

i dont know the set-up of your tinnie but i made a small console

and installed the sounder to it .( he is a pic - if that helps).

All power comes from small deep cycle battery.(lasts for days on 1 charge)
