  1. Hello

what you got is called Silverfish.

They are the larvae of a small moth.

they not only eat spider webs, but they also love to eat fabrics. so if you start finding small holes all over your T shirts, you know the culprit.

  2. looking for a body to go fishing in my boat with me in the Illawarra ( Shellharbour ), I work a rotating roster and so I can never seem to organise a mate to go fishing with me. So If your keen and dont get sea sick :puke: Ive got a 5.5m savage cuddy cab with a 115 merc , sounder, kill tank and all the safety stuff then drop me a line and see if we can organise a fish :1fishing1:

    Hi Floaty.

I will be more than happy to go fishing with you, have my own gear and I am happy to chip in for fuel costs.

As I have my own business I can even go during the week, (most of the time, unless I got an urgent job to finish) :1fishing1:

You can call my mobile 0416259376 anytime.

    Regards

  3. Hey Vladimir,

Interesting mould. Have you made any sinkers as yet? Any problems with air bubbles/voids in the finished product> Id love to see how they turn out.

Nice touch putting "take away food" as a feature in the mould as well.

    Steve

BTW- What is the mould made out of?

This one is a new mould, I will try to cast a few sinkers next week. I will post some pictures

I dont believe I will have problems with voids as it is bottom fed.

The mould is made out of aluminium.

  4. Hello.

I want to congratulate Fishraiders for the awesome day. The organization was amazing, you guys even booked the right weather for the day:biggrin2:

Thanks Tony for teaching me so many things about softy plastics.

My friend Jason, was really impressed and I am sure he will be joining us at fishraiders.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay any longer to try what was shown me, as my wife was home with a very bad flu.

Thanks again to all organizers, Job well done.

  5. Hi Billyd.

If you have room for 2 please count me in We have all gear minus the boat, including a pair of lazy fisho's reels (electrics for the deep stuff). And we don't turn green on the rough sea either.

And if you have a good sense of humor you must meet Pablo he is a real clown tease.gif .

    Just PM me with details.

  6. Got my first blackfish.:yahoo::thumbup:

On Saturday Rick took me to one of his secret spots for blackfishing, I had never tried it before, as I always heard that it is very difficult to master the fine art of blackfishing.

But Rick was able to show an old dog new tricks, and I managed to land a few fish.

Thanks Rick for a very interesting day, and for sharing your knowledge, I think that there is a chance that I will became addicted to blackfishing. ( Last night I saw my wife googling for Rehab clinics that treat this terrible condition). :biggrin2:

The only complaint i had about Saturday is that Rick made me wear a hessian bag over my head for great part of the trip there and back. Is it an initiation ritual ???

Jokes apart, It was a great day and I look forward to the next ludderick session.

    Thanks rick.

  7. As with others, if anyone would like to give the harbour blackfish a go, i'd be more than happy to help show this fine art.

Best times are yet to come, normally March/April through to June/July.

Will be landbased, could be anywhere from Vaucluse to start of Parra River.

Your rod or i have a spare, something around 10ft and light, centrepin or threadline, i can supply the rig/float etc.

If no more rain can ALMOST promise a few for the dinner table.PM if interested, looking for in about 1 months time.

    Cheers

    Rick

    Hi Rick.

I never had a chance to catch Blackfish, as I fish mostly from a boat (deep sea, trolling and bottom bashing), and a bit of beach fishing.

I have most of the tackle, including a 12 feet rod.

As the time is right now, as per your information above, and the weather is really nice, I would like to take the opportunity to fish with an expert and learn a few tricks.

    PM Sent as well

  8. Annoyed i reeled it in and the yakka was totally demolished. The bottom half of the head was chomped of to about the mid section of the body. What i found really bizarre is that the hook on the fin and back of the head seemed untouched.

I figured stuff it, i'll try to catch more yakka's. Caught another yakka, but no takers. Left the wharf about 4:30am when the sun started to rise.. Wanted to stay longer but i knew the :wife: would be crack it.

Pretty much went home empty handed, but it still strikes me, what fish could that of been that took my livie?

    Cheers

    Mark

Maybe you got a very hungry fish on a low iron diet. :1prop:

  9. I am all for it.

Have boat licence, some gear, I dont drink before a fishing trip, and I live in Ingleburn.

The only problem is that I cannot garantee that I will be able to go every Saturday, (I am self employed, so If I get work for Saturdays I must work).

You can e-mail me on vseng@iprimus.com.au
