  1. Hey Raiders,

Heres some more trimming i had done, A piece to cover the hinges across the transom. And a new custom floor, Which will soon have to tanks made under it for esky one side and kill tank/fish esky the other side. And the little hatch is to get to bilge area and tank bungs when there made.

  2. Plazmaman, Yeah she go's good with the 200 get about 40knotts wot. Yeah they are a good sea boat and very comfortable to fish out of. Even better with the out board, The in boards leave no room Thats why i converted it. Heres the storm cover i had made to, It intergrades into the rear curtain so you can have both on at the same time or remove either of them.

  3. The trimmer recommended the colours from the other seat box cushion ive had in the boat for the last 2 yrs and he desingned the lounge/box. Its also the same colour as my tinnies trim ive had for the last 7yrs. Needed more seats/storage to fit more people and fishing gear. Its hard to fish with 5 and only 3 seats. Im pretty sure lounges/seat boxes come standard in a crusader but they put a table in between them. And i have a 250ltr Eskys on the other side behind drivers seat.

  4. Hi Benny

Can you tell me what rod you have matched it with.

Have you, or no of others ever having a problem with these reels.

    Jess

I just brought a rod off online shop 60kg bent butt $150-180ish delivered, But now want to get a swivel tip electric reel rod from the usa, About $200ish delivered. I havent heard of any major problems, Have heard of them smoking a little when bring up big fish, But alot of electric reels do, But doesnt hurt them, And they have a built in cut out switch to protect them, And you just have to wind for a bit till they cool down about 5 mins.. Then turn them back on, I havent had that problem, I had a 100 odd kg mako on the end of mine and it was bring it in fairly easy, He took my blue eye about 100mtr under the boat, But bit throught the trace about 5m under the boat at browns..

  7. I have a bad neck injury, all bolted up, this has left me with some nerve damage that has weakened my arms and shoulders. i have thought about electric reels, but first i got to get a decent boat, second, sadly i have to actually manage to catch something over 2 kilos :( that can fight, and test my shoulders, before i think about it again. I know I would not be able to 'wrestle sea serpents up from the abys' winching them is a good second option though. about an hour hard casting and fast retrieving off bass point tongan style, finished me off for a day and i struggled with a 3 kilo bonito off there.

    Johnno

You'd be fine if you brought one Johnno. People with Disability's will always be able to use them what ever happens. You'd just have to get something from a dr.

  8. Ive seen the fisheries out at browns filming boats in crappy weather and in good weather boarding boats, I reckon thats who they will catch people and if ya using it manually there will be no lead hanging out of the reel and you'll be winding the handle. And as for a buy back, THEY MAY SAY.. some electric reels can be used manually so use them that way. And use the electic motor to only respool them. Thats just my thought.. We all know what governments are like.. I have an electric reel fingers X'ed it doesnt come into full affect..

  11. Ive run a full bait pump set up before, Get a bilge pump 500gal and place it in the water then get a piece of garden hose about 3mtrs with a inline tap to regulate the flow and run it to a 20ltr bucket (i used a garden hose type fitting just drilled and sikaflex into the top of the bucket), with all holes drilled around the top of the bucket or put a skin fitting with a hose to run back to the water, to let the water flow out and use a jump pack or a motor bike style battery to run it with about the same length of wire and cable tie it to the hose and put alligator clips on the end, If using a bike battery put a inline fuse. And run it on for a few mins every now and then.. I also use this technique to pump water into drums at a boat ramp to put in my fish tanks when i have poddy mullet and yakka's. But the yakkas only last a few days in a tank with an under gravel filter system.. So just another idea for ya. Easy and works well..
