  1. What IDIOTS!.I can't believe what goes on at boat ramps. On thursday night I went for an over night fish in

Botany Bay with some mates, When we got back to the boat ramp at Kyeemagh my mates driver side

window was smashed :mad3: , checked in his car and nothing was missing. We have a look around and

notice about 10 other cars with similar damage, one of them even had two of the doors open.

    Man I wish I caught the !@##$#@ in the act :ranting2: .

    Then again better I didn't.

  2. Simply Awesome snapper! What an incredible fishery they have over there. Thanks for sharing the photo Rob ... maybe next time it will be you standing in the piccy! :biggrin2:

    Cheers

    Hodgey

Yeah i wish it was me in the pic, I might have to go check SA out.

  3. Nice fish, but if thats cabbage tree island in the background and if thats where you caught the snapper, then you were fishing in a habitat protection or sanctuary zone.Along the western side you can only fish for slimies, yakkas and gar.The rest is all no fishing at all.Be careful cos the fisheries revenue raisers are everywhere on the water this time of year.

Yeah mate I know, thats where I cleaned it on my way in.

    cheers.

Also got smoked twice by some big kings :mad3: , but still pretty happy for an unplanned arvo fish.

    cheers.

  5. Hi Raiders,

I Arrived at port stephens on the 27th and went out for fish to broughton Island yesterday only managed 3 flathead around the 45cm mark, all were taken on 7" gulp jerk shads. Where are the snapper ?.

we had planned on going out to the fad today to play with the dollies but got to the ramp and pulled the pin due to the weather :1badmood: .

Hopefully things clear up for tommorrow.

    Cheers.

  6. no probs mate,

As far as the pods go they are rectangular shape (collapsable), I actually bought mine up there in the local tackle shop for $10 or $15, i'm not quite sure if they have a certain name.

Just make sure you write your boat rego on the bouy otherwise maratime will pull your traps out of the water.

  7. How are ya mate,

I was up at port stephens last year, I was getting blue swimmers everyday using crab pods with half a mullet in them as bait which you can get from the local tackle shop.

as for locations I was getting them just about anywhere in the bay.

my best results were along here,

I hope this helps. Good Luck.

    Cheers,
