  1. That makes me X 2...

    Feel free to ask questions

Beach Fishing is my specialty- but I also do a lot of wharf fishing in Parra and Lane Cove Rivers

I only ask people clean up the beaches and wharves after themselves- the amount of garbage my friends and I clean up after other fisho's is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

PM me if you are heading out and have questions or want to meet deffierent people and try different spots

    Cheers

I fish the area's you mentioned in your very generous offer ,

    Good On You ! :1welcomeani:

  2. Well done Steve.

I picked one up accidentally at Cremorne Pt. Was chasing Surgeon using 30lb flouro leader, they are tough. Hooked a good one 50+ cm managed to get him off the structure worked him to the surface.......on go the afterburners and he bites (or cuts with his tail scutes) clean through the "Rock" FC Sunline trace.

I rerigged we saw a massive +40cm Bream come up and this Big Blackie shoulders him out the way and grabs my bread bait! Can you believe it ....;30lb trace :05:

  3. 5.7lb is a very nice fish , but not a record.

That would be about 2.65kg in decimal currency !

And about 55cm long.I have pulled such a fish from the Parramatta &Hawksbury rivers but 5.7kgs........no way !

  4. I too have jigged Browns I must admit ,twice !

I nearly killed me , but the drift was about 2knts & the line 80lb !

I think that 30lb and a 500g slim profile lumo will do it next time!

    I can get there with a reasonable TLD 30 /Saltiga EXP 6500 both have+ 600m

    of line capacity.

  5. Ditto for me too!

What really hurt was that another boat [smaller] turned back from going to Browns because it was rough & jigged the reefs closer in with EXACTLY the same size ,weight, and colour Williamson Abyss Jig as I used at Brown's for some cracker Kingfish!

  6.

is it just me or is that bream in the second photo

about to slip the tongue in ?

The fish looks like it is in love and doesn't want to be set free

I think it is nice that he has such a passion for fish!

  7. Sorry ,Klainz I did not mean to rain on your parade. :1badmood:

My point was that if we wanted we could have found the relevant moon, atmospheric pressure, tide, etc from info available on this website.

As I to am a LB Angler I realize that you may be reluctant to divulge the exact location of these Jewfish. My self I well understand the problems that 'outing ' even inadvertantly, a good spot is a disaster as all the grubby hoons rockup and defile the location with rubbish!
