    has anyone got or heard of anyone getting any blueswimmer crabs in the lake? its been a shocking season, in december 07 i was getting stacks of crabs but its like they havent showed up this year?

    Thanks for letting me tag along on saturday night, i, just like the other 20 raiders there that night, had a great time getting stuck into some hairtail! Steve has pretty much covered everthing so ill just post up the pics :biggrin2:

    The bite was hot when we first arrived and we bagged 7 in quick succesion, two over the metre mark and the rest were rather small between 80-90cm. I managed to set a new PB of roughly 1.4m, not a huge fish, but he put up a great fight on 4lb line.

    He went 1.37m on the brag mat

    An earthquake of preliminary magnitude 8.1 occurred at 06:40 am EST near the Solomon islands [8.1S 157.2E] generating a tsunami.

    A series of waves associated with this tsunami will impact Eastern Australia today, reaching the Eastern Tasmanian coastline from about 12:30 pm.

    Dangerous waves and currents may affect beaches, harbours and rivers for several hours from the time of impact and low-lying coastal areas could be flooded.

    The waves can be separated in time by between ten to sixty minutes and the first wave of the series may not be the largest.

    People should keep listening to the local media for updated information and

    advice and follow instructions and advice from emergency services

    This warning will be updated by 11:00 am.

    Anyway, unfortunately (or is it fortunately) I'd need 2 of femalefisho on the port side of my boat to make up for the 100kg I weigh on my side.

    Now thats an interesting thought......
