  3. hi .... i've been fishing for those smelly carp every weekend for at least 3 months.. its great fun and great for the kids to get hooked up to a big fish , they dont stop smiling .. its hard to find any spots in the nepean without any snags so fish as heavy as you can and hold on... :1fishing1: we have seen fish caught up to 10kg were you fish or in that same area.. nice to see someone else cleaning the river .. soon i might catch a native?????

  4. hi keflapod .. we fish with only 4 rods with 1&2kg mainline with circle hooks , fish were weighed in for the club ,thats were the weights came from .. any way left the wharf soon after you to try for a flatty , that plan didnt work ... was home by 4.30 .. Gavin mar was the architech with my father and me struggling with the project for around 10 months with the help of our welder mate dave from marine boat repairs..alot off sweat...will chat on the water soon..

  5. hi im the other plate boat that was on the mark at first light ..... my father was with me to bare the cold .. we also managed a dozon+ bream around the .850 kg mark all smiles for the old man we let all smaller fish go to live another day .these fish being all of legal length . :1fishing1: as for boat traffic ??? its not hard to travel up current off all boats fishing to prevent any line tangles . you dont get to your fishing spot any quicker with 300yards of braid wraped on your prop?? :mad3: anyway great fish c u on the water .

  6. fished the yellowfin comp down batemans bay ..... weather was ok with a howling norwester sunday .. domanator caught a 70 plus sunday but missed the weighin .. i fished on mad 1 with alex and skipper mick, we managed afew fish with alex catching a 24.5 yf on 10kg plus a 108kg mako on 10kg . we released over 10 yellowfin and albies without tags as the tag bag went missing in transet :05::05:

    all in all great comp . congrats to team dominator on the luckyladies great captue ..

  7. nice striped for the botany bay boys!!!!! we all had a shot at the tuna , and i wished i had a bigger boat for the run home. good water but no fish?? they are around and will be found soon enough. keep up the good work on the water , i will here the tails at tuesdays meeting at the woronora rsl :1fishing1:

    No I took the lazy option that weekend and put it up the starboard outrigger in my "Southam" line release.

    Worked like a charm as usual. After I heard the "Twang" of the line releasing it was a simple matter of strolling over and slowly pushing the drag lever up. She must have been hungry as the circle hook connected inside the mouth, not in the hinge of the Jaw as usual.

    Back down the van this weekend, but taking the Boss there this time to rack up some Brownie points.

    Keep an ear open about JB as I'd love another shot at those Striped Marlin again.

  10. long day but a great day,,,,, the stella holds a curse? 2 fish refusing to play with it . my best day marlin fishing by far . my first striped marlin ever... thanks for the invite thanks for driving home. will do it all again. LOVE KENS PIC OF YOU.....THUMBS UP
