  1. Its been an amazing weekend at the Banks..!

There's 6 marlin ive herd that have been hooked over the weekend at the Banks!

    Definatly 2 landed...

Robert Lotsey boated a 137kg black on saterday after a 2 hour fight! :biggrin2:

Old man Townsie went one better today with a nice 160kg black!

Good on ya boys!! Ive got enough marlin to feed an army! :1prop:

Hope its still firing next weekend!!!

(will ad pics when i get them)

  2. Hey mate, I reckon you should give it a go up near the ferry to comerong island.

The lads got a 6kg jewie 2 nights ago and id bet theres more lurking in a hole close by

Not sure about plastics tho? They used weighted livies [mullet] set about 1m off the bottom!

If not, try over towards orient point culburra around those little islands on the run out tide..

I guarantee you will bagg out on flatties in half an hour..! "Dont tell em i sent ya" :biggrin2:

There was an awsome flattie in the paper today, caught near G.P. somewere??

It was 110cm long 25cm wide head and went 8.9kg on the scales! :1yikes: was released too!!

    Good luck! Tight Lines..!

  3. Flick some lures around target beach across to tubes mindful of the sanctuary zone

and fishermen live baiting off tubes ledge..

Heaps of samon tailor and trevaly caught round there of late!

Theres a spot about 1km outside the heads for flatties snapper and kingies!

But ill only tell if were in the boat going there, sorry.. :biggrin2:

  4. We are heading down to Jarvis Bay in early January chasing some good fish and a bit of R&R.

There is a Ramp at Myola that runs into the Creek/River that enters Jarvis Bay at Huskisson.

I remember reading a report about the entrance into JB but cant find it.

Has anyone used the Ramp and does anyone know what the entrance to the bay is like.

    Thanks

    Fisherdad

Its just a basic boat ramp, dirt parking area.

Husky creek can get a bit hectic crossing the bar at low tide!

I reckon if ya gonna be staying on that side of the creek,

Take the 5min drive and use Callala Bay ramp.

Its a steeper ramp with a jetty and no bar to cross..!

Good luck with the fishin might see ya around down here..! Jimmy. :biggrin2:

  5. Looks like a Jervis Bay Social is in order.. :1prop:

Seeing as there will be so many raiders down for the christmas holidays..!

May as well make a day of it! and go for a flick somewere. :1fishing1:

Hey mate sorry i didnt read your reply early enough,

But ive sent you a PM, Cheers again..

  6. So how did everyone go one the weekend..?

Herd the weather was pretty shit on fri and sat,

I fished on sun day but not in the comp we trolled out side for a few hours

it was rough goin without a single hit we called it quits and headed for drum n drums

Herd a few boats on the raido had hooked up! One boat had been fighting a fin for

20 min with an estimated 300m of line off the reel and still going..!

I belive a 300kg plus shark was weighed in, and the boys on Shotgun managed

to land a 150 plus mako on sun..! Nice effort in the conditions!

Our day consisted of flathead and trevally double hook ups everytime..!

Then after an hour out so the yaccas at the back of the boat took off

being chased by some big kingies..!! Our livies went nuts and within the space

of 15 min we had landed a kingie each! 3 in total! :yahoo:

Best part was i was holdin my rod the whole time..

Felt the first hit, Then wam bam thank you mam! reel started screeming!

Set the drag, set the hook and proudly announce that im on to a King!! :biggrin2:

What a day! I will Never forget it..

P.s How many dollars worth of boats were sitting in

husky creek at 5:30 sunday morning.. Amazing sight! Boys and there Toys! :074:

  7. I have a feeling that now I have admitted to being a dork there will be others to follow. I am sure I am not Robinson Cruso on this one

Your not alone brother.. Its been done before! :ranting2:

You had me in stiches for hours..! :074::074:

  8. Started a new job about 3 weeks ago and have been itchin to get out for a decent fish,

Yesterday, I managed to lined up a spot with these lads from sydney on a

7m Perdator half cabin called PUNCH’N for a days shark fishin out at the shelf,

We left Woolamia boat ramp at 6 in the morning and only got about 5 mile out through the heads

before turning back as the swell was 3 to 3.5m and we were taking waves over the roof..!!

Not very pleasent! Even in that size boat!! :mad3:

So we headed back inside Jervis Bay and dumped 40kg of burly off plantation

point in hope of raising some bronzies but no luck..!

Just a big sting ray that had us running around in circles

    trying to get all the line back on the reel before cutting it off..! {Thinkin of steve!}

Called it a day at about 1pm but not before getting ahold of a charter boat we had been in contact with all day.. they went out for another look and it had died off so they were headin to the shelf.. :ranting2:

Today i went out Eves with 3 mates, we left my house at 9am and by the time we got there it was blowin light NE but still fishable..

we set up and terry was on first cast to a nice size wrass! ahahhhh! :074:

After a few hours the wind picked up and just as i was startin to pack up Greenie hooks onto some thing decent.. after a 5 min fight on lightgear he manages to land a 1.4kg leather jacket!!

The conditions were getting worse so i decided to call it quits and head home for some

shut eye before work on monday.. Cheers jimmy.

  9. Can some one tell me what the LRSA stands for on a Tiagra 50 reel?

    thanks

    penguin

Think its Long Range Special?? Dont think it holds more line but has a higher drag rating..

    Stops bigger fish??

These old dudes came out the other day and were fishing in the wash with red crab..
