  1. If the Kings and other fish are there they will take anything. Some guys off Sydney have been using $2 Spanners with hooks tied on just to save money from bite offs from Jackets. They will take anything if in a frenzy.

Here is a shot of a Samson taken off W.A on a Spanner. Which is a common practise.

    any particular brand?

  2. The co-ordinates john has put up and are not the marks i used, those marks arent even in the correct Datum..WGS84 only has 2 digit in the second set of digits...I have no idea what they are....

The photos were taken in front on Clontarf...But anyone who fishes with me knows after we fish we always end up at Clifton Gardens for a Bagette and Coffee...every trip without fail....its a tradition.....

MOst people know i dont hide my catch locations as i post videos in many reports with the backgrounds clearly visable...this time the video footage wasnt taken....but i promise i will next time and the cluey people can figure out the exact location in the bay

    thanks oz

please post some vidoes so clueless people like me will learn

catching a kingy will be a dream come true!

i have been with charters on the harbour and it was boring compared to your trip!

y dont you start a charter business i would come with you every weekend!

thanks for your knowledge either way.. you are the best kingfisho on fishraider from checking the history

    you should have everyone's respect

you should change your nick to hectic :1prop:

  3. This also could be th ole decoy post to get everyone

    into middle harbour..

when all the fish might have been caught in the main harbour :1prop:

the pic has clontarf in the background and theyre heading back in from main

    harbour :biggrin2:

so i reckin you all should hit the main harbour and NOT

    middle harbour!! :biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2::biggrin2:

i am even more confused now.

main harbour is bigger so chances to find the kings are harder?

i have been reading all the old posts and i think i can gather that everyone refers to spot X being shark island. is that really spot x?

does that spot still produce? i can hire a boat at rose bay...

will anyone be fishing this weekend and is happy for me to follow?

i will keep a fair distance?

  4. Guys,

I am not to the blogging. I have been enjoying all your posts. Very informative I must say.

I am however not new to fishing.

Just wondering if I was fishing in a productive Ozzie Salmon patch that also produced a few kingies, how could I bait or rig up so that I would be more inclined to hook up Kingies as opposed to Salmon.

    Interested in your thoughs.

    regards.

    Hey Bud!

someone told me you can rig up a live salmon if you are catching too many.

Other salmons wont eat it! only biiigggg guns kingfish!!

  5. Netic,

Great haul of kingy's mate, always a great read after you've posted. And as usual i was skimming through the post just to get to the ending to see your fish, before going back and examining the post. With the amount of boats in middle harbour this weekend i might head offshore at Terrigal for a spot of jigging, and try for a kingy, they wont stand a chance in the harbour.Once again good to see you posting again :thumbup:

Let's all go to middle harbour!

it would be good to meet all the raiders!!

  6. Mate in all honesty as said before you have been given a area of where the fish are,

Im definately not teasing, Teasing would be me showing the fish and saying I caught in in the harbour somewhere...I gave u a location, What else do you want.....You only are a new member and have only posted twice, Contribute a little more and im sure you will get exact co-ordinates

You probably only joined in the hope of getting co-ordinates, doesnt work that way buddy,

    Hey Bud,

is there any good landbased spots for those who don't own a boat?

  7. Hello Guys,

I have just joined the site, i have been reading some reports today. Looks great!

I have been fishing for bream and whiting and flatties for a few years. Never had a chance to fish for bigger species.

There is alot of talk about kingfish and i know they have a reputation for being good fighters.

I have recently purchased a spheros and nitro rod and i am hoping i can get my first kingfish this spring/summer.

Meanwhile i would like to get as much information as i can.

Please help me with any previous topics or personal experience.. any help will be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Reece
